I hunted the abominations of your rejected mate’s bloodline when your father was just claiming his pack. I am Patrick. St. Patrick to those who consider me a savior of this world. Your fangs mean nothing to the man who has spent fifty years destroying the taint of the Nullifiers."

David Bryant, he’s friends with Mikali and Kurt. He’s a quick-witted guy, with lots of tattoos and piercings thought in his trooper uniform. He wasn’t wearing any of those piercings, and I could only see a hint of the tattoos on his neck. “An attack?" I furrowed my brow. “I didn’t hear anything,” I shrugged.

My parents were right, I shouldn’t be allowed to speak. “Wow, you really are a lost cause.” Carter whispers in my ear, making goosebumps appear on my body. Yep this is not good. “Um no, I have to leave now. I’ll see you at my wedding.” Hank says as he looks me in my eyes and his hand grips my arm lightly. Something he always did and it made me happy. His eyes then go over to Carter’s tattoos and huge biceps. It was clear that he thought Carter wasn’t a good guy. Carter straight up looked like a hot typical villain in any action movie.

Evelyn's POV "I, Alpha Kyle Turner, reject you, Evelyn Sanders, as my mate." Alpha Kyle hoarse voice boomed in my ears making me freeze on my tracks, his voice laced with disgust. Crack! A cracking sound resounded inside my body and I felt as if a part of me was forcefully torn and taken away. My wolf howled in pain but there was nothing I could do about it. Tears flowed down my face as the pain became immeasurable, increasing with each second to the point I was unable to tolerate it. I could care less about the gazes on me. I was already used to it.

I glanced at Williams, who remained silent, as if in pain. "It's nothing, Dean. A friend of mine came to visit, and I was happy about it all." Dean looked at Henry, who smiled and extended his hand for a shake. "Hi, my name is Henry, and I'm from the Lycan pack. I used to be a beta to Williams here, but I guess my rights have been taken away." I observed how Dean shook hands with Henry, then turned his attention back to me. "You need to rest, Sierra. You know I don't like seeing you this way."

I reached for Austin's uninjured hand, squeezing it gently. "And where did Patrick hear such things?" Michael's question sliced through the room. "Children repeat what they hear at home, Mr. Walton." Principal Davis removed her glasses. "Patrick's father works for Halgate Group." Of course he did. The rage building inside me threatened to explode. The Walton family drama, poisoning my children's lives just as I'd feared. "Is Patrick's face still attached to his head?" Michael asked casually. "Michael!" I snapped, but I caught the hint of a smile on Austin's downturned face.

I quickly smiled in apology and said, "Oh, then I'll have to trouble you, Mr. Cowell." I caught up with him in quick steps and followed him. After five years, Patrick had got a new car, a sapphire Bentley SUV. I sat in the passenger's seat. Driving the car out of the parking lot of the restaurant, he asked me, "Are you the disciple of Ryan Teague?" "Yes." "Is Mr. Ryan in good health recently?" "Yes." Hearing my answer, Patrick glanced at me out of the corner of his eyes and said with some displeasure, "While talking to others, do you usually reply in one word at one time?"

I felt anger bubble inside me. “Look at me!” I snapped. His eyes shot up to mine. “Do you know who I am?” I asked. He nodded. “Tell me.” “You’re Leah Garrison.” “Yes, I am. And you did this to me.” I held out my wrists and then lifted my jumper to show my healing wound. His eyes fell to my stomach and then back to his chained wrists. When he lifted his gaze again, his eyes were filled with sorrow. “I am so sorry; we did this to you.”

I run to the Packhouse, not knowing how late it is and if I stayed in there longer than I had thought. I make it to the front doors of the Packhouse and turn to the main house grandfather clock and to my surprise, I have just enough time to shower and get ready before I meet up with grandma and help her and my parents deliver the food to the boutique. I start undressing as I hit the bedroom door, paying no attention to my surroundings until I hear a whistle aiming directly at me. My face turns red as I look up and see Wyatt, leaning back in a chair, fixing his bulging pants.
