Paw Patrol: Pups Save Ryder Novels & Stories

“DON’T MOVE.” Before I could process what was happening, Ryder yelled. “NO!!” He shifted into a massive black wolf and burst out of our hiding spot.

Alpha Ryder’s eyes landed on a pup who stood above his mother’s body, his face has turned red from eyes as he pulled his mother, trying to wake her up and run away from here. Desperation and fear was written all over him, which Alpha Ryder found annoying, he took fast and long strode towards the pup, then raised his sword and slayed him (the pup), heartlessly. The pup's blood splashed all over him, but he didn’t care about it, after all, he’s here to spill blood. His eyes scanned the place, he smirked and nodded in satisfaction as he stared at the dead bodies laying on the ground in a very large pool of their own bloods.

We lock eyes and he gives me a mocked bow even as a sneer forms across his face. A sudden tremor shakes my body but I will myself to be brave. My feet finally touch the ground and Zion starts walking toward me. From the corner of my eye, I see Ryder as he fights off the wolves that keep coming at him; all howling, snapping and growling as if they are hungry and ready to devour him. “Foolish child, you should have run while you had the chance,” Zion roars, his voice courting Ryder’s attention. This is exactly what he wanted, to distract Ryder.

Xander took off his jacket and laid it across his motorcycle. The four men with him grabbed long, heavy chains from their motorcycles and headed toward us, their lips curling into sinister smiles. Xander and Elias morphed and changed into their wolves and leaped at the men. One of them snapped his chain rope toward Elias, but he quickly jumped out of the way, grabbed the man by the throat, and threw him into the street. Elias could have easily ripped out the man's throat but didn't. Then he grabbed another man when the first one started coming toward Elias again, sneaking up behind him.

Ryder growled, his voice clear despite his wolf form. I tightened my fists, anger bubbling to the surface. “I’m not going to let them take me,” I said out loud, my voice steady despite the fear gnawing at the edges of my resolve. “You won’t have to,” Ryder responded. “Stay back. Let me handle this.” The men suddenly attacked. Ryder met them head-on, his massive form colliding with the first attacker in a blur of fur and claws. The sound of snarls and the clash of bodies echoed around us as Ryder fought fiercely, tearing into his enemies with brutal precision.

My heart raced as I saw him, dragged into the room by two wolves, his body struggling against their hold. “Let him go!” I growled, anger burning through me as my vision blurred with rage. The wolves ignored me, throwing Riley against the wall. They chained him up beside me, and Ryder crouched in front of him, holding up a piece of chain. “Silver,” Ryder said, grinning. “No breaking out of this one.” Before I could react, Ryder punched Riley in the gut, hard enough to make him double over. My entire body went rigid, the sound of Riley’s pained grunt stabbing through me like a knife.

I gently lift him in my arms anger filling me. "What is happening?",I keep my voice soft. "This pup has whip marks",is said. I freeze up not thinking I heard right. "Derek, my brother holds another pup, this one has a stab wound",Ryder growls. "Warriors take all pups to the hospital, my men lift the pups gently and the pups start sobbing, I need some of you to track and see if we can find parents ",I walk to the hospital the little boy in my arms and he hasn't stopped crying.

Ryker says as he stands, wincing as he puts pressure on his right hind leg. "That was our mate," I say as her scent hits our nose. "Follow her! She must know something we don't." "Where are the pups? Surely she hasn't given birth that quickly?" Ryker asks as we try to keep up with her speed. Before I realize it, we are outside our territory at a small waterfall and come to a halt as we no longer see or smell Rain, but I come face to face with a shabby, grayish rogue wolf almost as big as Ryker. He's foaming at the mouth while trying to lunge at me. Ryker moves quickly to dodge while extending his left leg, kicking the rogue in the face and earning a yelp in return.

Ryder growled, and the four of them charged at it at once. Finn shifted fully into his wolf form and sprinted around the creature’s left, while Kai moved to the right. Ryder charged head-on. The vampire lunged at Ryder first, claws extended. Ryder dodged at the last second, spinning to the side and raking his claws across its back, leaving deep gouges that oozed dark blood. The creature roared in fury and swung an arm back at him. Ryder blocked the blow with his forearm, though the impact sent a jolt of pain through his bones. “Now!” Ryder shouted.

I’m sitting in my parents’ home, gathered around the large dining room table with Mom, Dad, and Ethan. Ryder is with Gael and Hakeem, trying to figure out who’s best to take him north to Erick’s territory. Axel—Bella, Jamal, and Gregory’s youngest son—is with them, since he’s Ryder’s best friend. He’s been helping keep Ryder calm and distracted so he’s less likely to shift. It’s actually been a big help.
