“But Alpha…” “That is an order.” The words left my mouth sharp and final. The guard stiffened before lowering his head in submission. I did not wait for another response. I shifted instantly, my bones cracking as my wolf surged forward, and I sprinted toward the cabin. The forest blurred past me as the wind tore through my fur. My mind raced faster than my body. Something inside me twisted painfully with every step I took closer to that place. Before reaching the clearing, I had mindlinked Dante and instructed him to meet me there. As expected, when I arrived, he was already waiting outside the cabin, standing still like a silent sentinel.

The other detective just smiles at Skye and says, "About time. We always thought you two would be a couple when you were kids. Peyton used to follow you everywhere." Skye smiles bashfully as Jordan returns with a girl a few years younger than Skye. Peyton wipes Skye's eyes and Skye let out a calming breath. "Our dads are the best at what they do and these detectives are going to help," she says in a soothing whisper holding Skye in her arms. "I'm sorry, we're supposed to be having a nice dinner and I'm ruining your shirt," Skye chokes quietly wiping her eyes. "We still can and it's just a shirt," Peyton says with a light smile. "Come on, let's go start our date and let our parents do what th

Everything! " Who? " I asked as I looked straight into his eyes. Rage was apparent on them and I don't blame him. " Alpha Xander from the Crescent Moon Pack " he said, his voice void of emotions. **** " You know, I'm starting to get dizzy looking at you, pacing back and forth. What's wrong, Miss Petal?" Skyler's voice came and I got back into my senses when he suddenly spoke. " Huh? " I looked at him and he was eating my can of Pringles. He was sitting on the couch looking at me. This pack had actually nominated Skyler and Sven as our pack members so we were all like family.

My heart was racing as I hugged her neck tightly. "Nia Schafer! She's running away! There's a Lycan infiltrating!" I looked back to see Seth and Yasen yelling after us. Tybalt growled, I spontaneously hugged his neck tightly from behind as he jumped up and sprinted through the dark forest. Yasen and Seth had transformed to chase behind, and howling broke the silence of the night. I'm sure the sounds attracted the attention of the entire Packhouse herd. In an instant, a pack of wolves was chasing behind.

I turned around, searching viciously for who had that scent, and when I found him…my excitement died. It was Ray-khan, and he was with Sara, who was all over him. No doubt nagging about what she had heard earlier. “ She's definitely nagging about him going to Mystik pack to find his mate,” Vena said, as though she had read my mind. “ How do you know that?” I asked, genuinely surprised that she knew too. “ Well, news about Ray-khan spreads fast. I mean look at him, he's only twenty, but he's so buff, he's tall, his eyes are so sexy, and his lips…”

Is Roxy...?" my question is answered when we take a corner on our left.
