Jumping into her we fly down the road heading towards grandma's place the coffee shop. Parking my baby in her spot we go in and meet a few of our mates Trevor and Dustin. Giving them each a fist pump we take a seat in the booth. Not a minute later Shelly comes over for our orders. She's a sweet girl and also a werewolf. You can tell she has a thing for my brother, but he's too stupid to notice when she is literally standing right in front of him.

The last remaining guard starts to plead for his life, and it finally occurs to me why I thought I recognized him. "Wait! I called out and Trent stops but doesn’t move from looking at him, "that's Piper's brother." The loud bang that followed has me clutching my ears as someone picks me up and half throws me into the back of the vehicle. Tania wondered why he had to go somewhere else to mind link his Alpha, but soon she found the answer to that question when the patrol guard returned with another man. He was tall, muscular, and tanned due to thorough training under the sun. Tania had also noticed this pattern in the patrol guards too, the men of the Wild Willows pack were very tanned which meant they trained a lot and this pleased her and made her even more interested in meeting the Alpha. The man paused the moment he saw her, stunned, and for a few seconds, he didn’t know what to do. His facial expression seemed to say a lot, but in the end, Tania didn’t understand any of it and was impatient.

I want to get back to normal. *** Trent POV My paws pound against the forest floor, kicking up small little clouds of dirt and leaves as trees buzz past. I don’t care who or what I’ll find. I want at least one aspect of this nightmare to end. Through the pack link, I ask the patrol who spotted the intruder, “How many did you see? Did you recognize them? Did you spot anything odd or different about them?” More questions bubble up, but I keep them to myself.

A huge black-pelted animal moved casually until it was on the porch right next to her. About the size of a Great Pyrenees dog, it could have been one of the drawings in the book come to life.
