"The bad energy is strong, but it will be gone soon. I promise." Shaken, I retreated. I couldn't fight her physically. I had to understand. I focused not on attacking, but on listening. I pushed my awareness towards her, past her polished surface. The flashes were jarring. Raw emotions, jagged images. A deep, bitter resentment towards our mother. A burning fury—she had been passed over, deemed unworthy of the Siren's legacy that flowed in our veins. And then, a hungry need—a vision of me, of Elara, our potential power swirling around us like a visible mist, something she desperately needed to grasp, to claim, to consume.

Only the peaceful rhythm of a pack that had learned to thrive. The first to sense us was a young scout on patrol—barely more than a pup, with bright eyes and the unmistakable energy of one of Kael’s line. He froze when he caught our scent, then let out a sharp, excited howl that shattered the quiet afternoon. Within moments, others answered. The forest came alive with the sound of running feet and paws. Soren reached us first.

Yet, I was so wrong. When I saw Jackal that day, I saw something in him that made me back out and depart the room. A ray of light, though not a dazzling one, united Scarlet and Jerk. Looking into my clairvoyance, I realised I had underestimated my enemy. Not only was he linked to Scarlet, possibly someone she had known when young, he was also not an ordinary human.

“That would be great. Her dad is most likely going to be her lawyer, he is the only one in town.” Glenn laughed. “Makes sense why you took the trip out here then.” My phone started to buzz again and I rolled my eyes. “One second.” I pulled it up, this time it was my father. “Dad, I’m in the middle of a meeting right now.” ‘The patrol’s caught three of Alpha James’ scouts on our territory.’ I growled. “Where are they now?” ‘Below the pack house. They brought them in a few minutes ago. Scott tried to call. He thought I might be able to get through. What meeting do you have?’

I look past what looks like a Lycan and take a horrid breath in at seeing all the destruction and dead warrior patrols behind him. A wave of fear flows through me, but even though I am only a scout, I know how to fight and with being a Lycan, I can move a little quicker than Jake could. However, it doesn't seem quick enough as my extended claws only just skim its side, but he makes full contact digging and scraping his claws down my back. I don't register the pain as I stagger away from him. I know I can't beat him, so I do the only thing I can and that is run. I run as fast as my weaning strength will allow me, heading back to the packhouse and into the Alpha's office...

Lira leveled down on the young boy and met his gaze. "Hi. And you are?" she asked him. "Robb." The boy glanced up to Minos and back, before flashing a reluctant smile. "Nice to meet you Robb," she replied. Something moved from over her shoulders and what Robb thought was fur lining was actually a small but long and slender cinnamon-colored rat-like creature. "And this is my friend, Scout." "A weasel?!" Robb gasped in surprise and the furry thing hoisted its head up and started sniffing his face.

“At least we can’t do anything about releasing him but, we can arrange for you to see him under supervision.” “Alright.” Katie replied with a huff. “and where the hell is this Lucas Wolfe anyway?” “Um,” Bobby shared a look with Alex. “So here’s the thing...” --- “Any signs of the feral or the girl?” “No.” “Okay. Do a sweep towards checkpoint five. The second search team will meet you there. Get some rest and refuel. I want you back out at dawn.” “You got it.”

He screamed, baring his fangs as he dashed to attack Justin. Justin rushed out of his way, decided to shift too. In less time than Dave had used, Justin shifted. He shifted into a huge white wolf with his paws brown. His white shone brightly under the sun. His eyes were blazing with a ring of golden fire inside of them, he felt like tearing Dave to pieces and he stared at him the way he stared at a rogue. Dave launched at him, trying to grab his neck while all Justin did was hit him with full force, the force of his huge body making Dave lose focus for a moment.

Alpha Connor Finley BlackPaw of the BlackPaw pack is starting to have an increasing problem with rogues. They’ve been testing the security fencing around the pack trying to find their vulnerable spots. BlackPaw increased their patrols and brought all pack members closer to the center of town where they had an underground shelter for emergencies. He needed help so he called a neighboring ally, the Shadow Mountain pack that was located about an hour away. Alpha Kelvin Shadow dispatched two squads of his elite shadow warriors to assist the BlackPaw pack.

A seasoned scout standing to Jax's left slowly lowered his tactical rifle, his chest heaving as his hands physically shook against the metal stock. "But sir... I don't know if I can," the scout stammered, his voice tight with a deep, instinctual panic that overrode his training. He was asking a wolf to fire on the face of his own Alpha. "I mean... they look just like you and Jax. And..." The scout swallowed hard, looking physically ill as his trembling finger pointed deeper into the shadowed cavern.
