The Perfect Victim

The Perfect Victim

"I'm so sorry, honey... I didn't catch it properly and spilled the water. Honey, did you burn your hand? That water looked really hot." Her soft expression overlapped with the memory of her madness in my mind. The last time I had simply poured her a glass of water that was not exactly the 55 degrees she demanded, she had gone insane and tried to hack me with a kitchen knife. I stood there, frozen. Meanwhile, the live comments were flying across the screen. [Isn't this abuse? That water was hot enough to cook a steak!] [Even if Claire can't feel her legs, you can't just do that to her.]

The Perfect Conspiracy

The Perfect Conspiracy

Her words dripped with venom as she dragged Valerie to where the cooking gas was, a pot of boiling oil resting on its surface. The heat was intense and Valerie feared the lady's intentions. “No, no, please. No!” She pleaded but her pleas fell on deaf ears. Valerie's scalp felt like it was on fire as the lady's grip on her hair tore her away from the pot. But the real hell began when the scalding liquid made contact with her face. A blinding, searing pain shot through her, like a thousand knives stabbing her all at once. Valerie's screams ripped from the depths of her lungs as she felt the burning and charring of her skin. The agony consumed her, leaving her groaning in intense pain.

The Ordeal

The Ordeal

His voice whispered that this was just another test—one of many that she would face on her journey. As the night wore on, the moon gradually descended in the sky, its luminous glow waning. And as the first light of dawn began to paint the horizon, Rithanya's weary eyes lingered on the final pages of her textbook. She closed it with a sense of accomplishment, her heart swelling with the knowledge that she had done her best.

The Dark Below

The Dark Below

“They were out too far…for a reason. “Rodin says. Slowly, Rodin lifts his fingertips from the puddle. The blood drips back into the pool. The blood is thick almost like sludge and smells like rotten meat when it's cooked. Rodin flings the blood on the teal grass which cleans the shine on his armor. Rodin stands and he starts to walk to the tent with the flag. Varick looks over the pile. On his side is a satchel, he reaches in this compartment to pull out a book. The book’s title: “Book of The Blight.” Carefully, he sets his wolf helm down on a clean spot among the forest. The plate head sparks with pink electricity, causing the headpiece to slightly hover along with the grassy blade tips. Va

Her Darkness, His Light

Her Darkness, His Light

I couldn't continue. "Until the Prince returns? Yes." He must have sensed the fear in me because he immediately took my hand again. "I doubt he'll do this again." "But he will." I whispered. He gave me a sympathetic look. I know he cared but I hated that look. "Come, I'll read something to you." Mr. Percival went on reading a really old book about a man who fought for the freedom of humankind. I listened to him for about ten minutes before my eyes began to feel droopy. They almost closed when the door suddenly opened wide. He came in, with his usual domineering aura. His steps were light and fast.

The Darkside of the Moon

The Darkside of the Moon

With a sigh, Chloe reluctantly hands him the book. Valentine takes it, his eyes widening as he reads the title. "The Grimoire of Shadows," he whispers, a mix of awe and fear in his voice. "What is this?" "It’s our only hope," Dr. Percy says grimly. "But it comes at a great cost. Are you willing to pay it?"

When I read books by this author they always play like a movie in my head. The details, the setting, the characters and the story line all flow so well. Such a talented writer. I am absolutely looking forward to reading "Jericho". Keep up the great work.

Lost to Fire: Book Two

Lost to Fire: Book Two

He has to get to his child. We can push the door open far enough for me to slip into the opening. It is handy to be small sometimes. I enter the room, seeing the cause of the obstruction is a bookshelf. It must have tipped and lodged itself against the door during the earthquake. I tip the bookshelf back against the wall, letting Brixtius have access to the room. A room with furniture strewn all over the place. "Eurydice!" I yell out, hearing her cries from under a fallen dresser. Brixtius moves with speed and lifts the wooden furniture like it weighs nothing.

SUPREME GHOST WEREWOLF

She approached it cautiously, her heart pounding with anticipation. "This book... it feels important," she said, reaching out to touch it. The moment her fingers made contact with the cover, the symbols flared to life, casting a brilliant light throughout the room. Kai, Allan, Lila, and Seraphina gathered around Alex as she carefully opened the book. The pages were filled with intricate drawings and cryptic text, written in a language none of them recognized. As they studied the book, a sense of urgency washed over them, as if the knowledge contained within was both powerful and dangerous.

he admitted, scrolling down to see what I've done. You're right it is. “Is this a typo or was it what's written in the case?” “What's that?” I asked, trying to spot what he was talking about. “Right here. The part that says Regina Gilbert 45 against Lancashire. I went through the case sometime, wasn't she vindicated?” He pointed at my screen. I think I've been surviving on five hours of sleep the whole day that I'm starting to forget things. “Yes yes, you're actually right,” I tucked my hair behind my ears, reaching to correct it.
