There was a faint ringing in my ear, I put my hand to my left ear and felt a liquid, I dabbed at it and looked at it, it was blood. I was bleeding from my ear. What the hell was that hag trying to do to me with her scream, fry my brain? I shook my head, the ringing had already subsided, my healing was kicking in. “If there are more like that here, we are going to have a hard time,” I told Claude. He grimaced, “We are in the thick of it now, no choice but to go through.” I nodded. He was right, we had gotten all the way here, there was no turning back now.

He can also hear the popping sound of his skin being pierced, as if he has been drugged and then stabbed by someone with a needle, but he can still hear it without pain. Then, drops of black blood oozed out from dozens of needle holes.

I had nothing to be ashamed of. “I hit the counter on the way down,” he said by way of explanation. “He barely nicked me with the bat.” “Oh, well, that would explain the gash.” I replied as I started to apply pressure. I also knew that head wounds tended to bleed a lot. “Should we call someone?” Earl came back in, scratching his left butt cheek and holding the kit in his right hand.

Her eyes widened in horror. Whooossh, a sudden wind filled her ears, and she heard a loud pop. The side of her head filled with a sharp pang. Jade tumbled over, landing on her hip and arm. Her elbow had scraped against the pavement, causing her to wince. There were footsteps, but she couldn't tell the direction they were coming from because her head was throbbing and her right ear was ringing.

Multiple cuts on her hip that she explained was from a ring on his finger that cut during punches. Damien focused on a ring of deep red around her throat. She should’ve healed quickly from hands choking her, unless it was done repeatedly and her body automatically numbed that area delaying healing as a side effect. He noticed that her left earring was hanging slightly lower than the right one. It must have torn her earlobe slightly downwards during a punch, and her body couldn’t heal since the piece of gold was still in the wound. “Were any open-handed hits delivered to your ears, Miss King?”

I guess that's where the tentacles come out. "You are so ugly," I creased my nose, "and stinky." Its roaring laugh vibrates through my ears and almost breaks my eardrums. The three unconscious people on top of the rock bleed their ears. I touched my ears and also found blood in them. The beast continued laughing. I endured the pain in my ears and swam near them. I pulled them back to the water again. I also dipped myself into the water and its coolness relaxed the unbearable pain in my ears.

The realization was etched into every beat of my heart; every breath I took. Something trickled down the side of my neck and I momentarily broke eye contact with him to wipe at the liquid. I had thought it was sweat, but when I looked at my hands, I was shocked to see blood. My hands shot us to trace the liquid and I found myself bleeding from my ears. “What…?”

His canines pierced the gland. A piercing after waiting too long. The canines punctured the epidermis. They passed through the thin layer of fascia covering the gland surface. They drove into the gland's core. Cedarwood and gunpowder poured in through the bite. Her spine arched. A deep, deep arc formed between her lumbar spine and shoulder blades.

His voice trails off, and he suddenly squeezes his eyes shut, his face contorted with agony. He presses his hands to his ears, and I gasp when I see that his nose is bleeding. "Rhydar? What's wrong?" I ask, reaching for him, bewildered. When he doesn't respond, I reach into his mind, and that's when a loud static noise fills my head. I pull away instantly, my chest heaving. Finally, Rhydar lowers his hands from his ears. My eyes go wide when I see that his ears are bleeding too.

Toby was hurt, but she couldn't see how much. His ears were bleeding and that could either be from the loud bang or because of a different reason. She hoped the bang was the reason, it'd hurt but it'd be easy to fix and hopefully would heal on its own. She'd seen people get ruptured eardrums before and it wasn't a pretty sight but usually wasn't too damaging. This was the first ever attack that could result in the loss of life. The war has officially begun now.
