Krister asked, looking at his tablet still before walking to the back room. “Black? She doesn’t-- I mean didn’t wear anything else?” she asked, her eyebrows meeting in the middle confused. “Don’t tell me she’s one of those people…” “Yes, specifically black clothing. They’re hot in the day but you disappear in the night. Hearing this, Steven paused momentarily and sneered, "What could be wrong with me?" After speaking, he lowered his gaze, rubbing his throbbing temples, his face turning iron blue as he walked away. Having known Steven for so many years, Ethan had never seen him like this and felt something was off, but he didn't know what to say. Holding back, he asked somewhat incomprehensibly, "Steven, does it have to be Kimberly?" He barely recognized the person in front of him. Was this still the same proud and arrogant Steven he knew? He glanced at Vanessa again and then something like a light bulb went up in his head and he found himself smiling at his friend. “It’s not funny, Sean,” Steven growled. “I know, I know,” he said and tapped him on the shoulder, “calm down brother, she would be fine and let me handle Natasha for you.” While walking away, he added, “who would have thought you would find her tonight of all night and in my pack,” he chuckled. Steven frowned at what he said and he was prepared to refute but he found himself turning and walking back to the girl. He squatted beside her once more and held her bleeding hand. “Why aren’t you healing?”

Peter could not get the upper hand no matter how hard he tried. Charles and Steven felt the weird vibes too as they reached the top of the stairs. They rushed over just in time to see Peter duking it out with the mystery assailant. Steven narrowed his eyes, sizing up the situation, then leaped into the battle. It was not long before the attacker was gasping for breath, and with a swift kick from Steven, the figure was sent sprawling to the floor. Steven narrowed his eyes again, ready to pounce and catch the intruder, but the guy threw some kind of powder from his clothes, blinding Steven momentarily.

Steven's perspective. Steven has been in hell for a long time. He meditates every day in order to cross the border that he must cross every day. Since his best friend's death, he has been restless and has tried everything to be himself. He used a lot of drugs to get his head fixed. In his dreams, he kept seeing his friend and asked him to atone for his sins. Steven couldn't control his rage, so he soothed himself by consuming more drugs. Despite his best efforts, nothing worked for him.

"I'll take it from here." Al nodded and strolled off. I was alone with Steven. He stepped towards me and the dim light illuminated his features slightly. Despite his dark blue, motor oil-stained overalls and huge boots, he was quite intimidating. Steven was taller than me by several inches and he looked like someone you wouldn't want to mess with. I definitely wouldn't pick a fight him. A slowly burning cigarette hung from his thin lips, a trail of smoke drifted upwards as he sneered at me. "Where the hell have you been, boy?"
