3rd Person “Are we there yet?” Riley whined, her small body rocking back and forth with the ship’s movement. They’d been out on the open ocean for days now, and though the pups would probably have enjoyed standing on the deck looking for dolphins and whales in the vast sea’s swirling waters, they hadn’t been allowed to go above deck. Instead they remained safely in the vast vehicle’s hull, and bided their time by badgering their kidnappers until they all but screamed.

She was hunched over a holomap of the Atlantic, where glowing red zones marked "Dead Tides"—areas where the water was so saturated with corrupted code that the ship’s hull would literally begin to dissolve. "But we aren't alone out there, Jade. The pirates in the Mid-Atlantic aren't looking for gold anymore. They're looking for 'Update' cores. They were the leaders on Devil Island. The eldest was Zale, followed by Zach and then Zaha. The three brothers' evil activities were rampant on the coasts near Pearl City.
