Her fingers were no longer fingers but blackened claws dripping with something thick and dark. Her eyes... God, her eyes... were completely black, swirling like endless pits of shadow, soulless and hollow. Her mouth stretched into a grin too wide for her face, her teeth jagged and sharp, some broken, others too long, protruding like fangs. Her lips were cracked and peeling, revealing the raw flesh beneath. In just a moment, the black mist around the Sea God had been completely obliterated. A body that was completely like a human was revealed. The very first thing I notice is that she is so pale, she looks inhuman. As I look her over, I notice one thing very quickly. Her eyes are completely black, there is absolutely no pigmentation at all. It’s such a stark contrast to her brilliant red hair, that I must take a second look deep into those big black holes. She touches my hand with something sharp and then I feel nothing at all.

You think I came here for human diagnoses?” “It is no insult,” he replied quickly. “I tell you what I see. The skin, the fur—it loses pigment. There is no pain? No burning?”

I get the words out, tryin’, but failing, to hide the tremble in my voice. He doesn’t answer. Rather, he just steps forward into the “sunlight” and lets those strange rays hit him. That's when I get a proper look at him. His skin's pale as porcelain, like if you poked him too hard he’d crack. Thin, aye, but there’s muscle under it, wiry and springy. His hair’s a messy halo of golden curls, cherub-like, but his eyes... There's no irises. Just two black pits ringed with blood-red veins that twitch faintly.
