“What do you mean gone?!” “I’m sorry, man. I tried. He just disappeared.” I let out a roar of frustration and slammed my fist into the steering wheel again. “Damnit!” Marcus flinched beside me. Jerome said quietly, “Drake, what the hell is going on?” I didn’t answer. I was too busy watching everything I’d carefully planned start to fall apart, starting with a ghost in a silver car. I turned to Marcus and said, “It's time for plan B.”

Florida weather. I huffed, puffed, grumbled, and gave in to the misery, chiding myself for even hoping for more out of the relationship when I was still this much of a wreck. A hot mess, as the kids would say. Among every other blunder, I realized I had only made more work for myself. Even without the time limit, it was stupid. I didn’t have a dumpster. Hadn’t drawn up a plan. I didn’t even think I had measured anything, let alone made a parts list.

He could not help but feel a little gloomy as well. He was always confident in his ability to pull off anything. Unfortunately, he could not say the same for this marriage proposal plan. So all I did was bod and take his hand in mine.

But instead of throwing a fit, she simply smirked and said, “Well, I learn from the best.” Greg prayed that she didn’t mean him. He didn’t want this failure to be his student. When they entered the tea room, the Lord and Lady paused their discreet chatter and smiled at the Duke. Sasha and Livia stopped their gossiping, too. Tanner looked like the most left out one there. ‘What the f*ck do these losers want?’, Greg thought as he returned everyone’s fake smiles. After he was seated and given Earl Grey, Kelissa got to the point, “Well, your Grace. You’ve read the news. It seems that our plan has gone down the drain, and things are...complicated now.”

So, I prepared for the worst-case scenario in case Dorian attacked me. I had hoped that my plan this time would succeed. However, reality doesn't always favor me. My plan failed completely, and what I ended up with was nothing but a disaster.

Tomas covered his face while trembling with fear. He just had a rough time upstairs. He initially wanted to vent his frustrations and seek some comfort. However, he ended up getting slapped instead. This was so unfair! After all, plans could be made but success was ultimately determined by fate. No matter how flawless a plan was, there would always be unexpected issues that arose during its implementation. As the planner and leader of the strategy, he felt helpless when things didn't go well. He didn't want this to happen!
