Nollax: The Vampwolf Chronicles

Nollax: The Vampwolf Chronicles

the young woman explained. Olivia moved forward to take a closer look at one of the books displayed inside a showcase. It was an old book and it looked soiled. The cover of the book showed several small circles, each one depicting a form of metamorphosis. One of them particularly caught her attention. It showed a humanoid creature morphing step by step into something that looked like a phoenix. “One of these books might have an answer to where the dinosaurs actually came from,” Romos joked.

Seven Magics Academy

"They didn't start out human?" "If by human, you mean like we are now, then no." He shook his head, moving closer to the book. "Appendix A," he said. The book quietly flipped toward the back, its pages stirring the air with the smell of old paper. When it stopped, I unconsciously recoiled from the pictures on the page, finding it difficult to grasp what I saw. "What are those things?" I finally asked. The creatures had dark and hairy bodies. Their arms and legs were the same lengths, similar in proportion to an ape.

Curse of the Spotlight

Curse of the Spotlight

The sound of chains dragging along the ground could be heard as the monster came into view. Focusing harder on the figure, I gasped, realizing I was indeed looking at a monster exactly like the picture in that book. My heart pounded as I watched a humanoid on all fours slowly turn toward us. The thing was putting most of its weight on its hands, large claws ripping out of the tips of its fingers rather than nails. Wait a moment… no, those claws were coming out of what anatomically would be its knuckles, and its fingers were reformed into long bones that supported fleshy webbing to form wings. Its back legs were smaller, bent as though it was made to permanently crouch.

My Hockey Alpha Deadly Secret

My Hockey Alpha Deadly Secret

He took out the book. I recognized it immediately — the specific weight and age of it, the dark worn cover, the quality of something made to last rather than to be convenient. He placed it on the log between us. "Open it," he said. I picked it up. I opened it carefully. The first pages — text in a script I could not read, dense and precise. I turned pages. Then the illustrations began. Sketches. Detailed, accurate ink drawings of wolves. Not decorative — documentary. The specific anatomy rendered by someone who had seen wolves closely enough to record them correctly.

How To Tame You Demon Prince

How To Tame You Demon Prince

The small creature was ill-proportioned having a head too big for its body and limbs too small to support its weight however it seems to be in perfect physiological and physical functioning. The creature nodded like a teacher approving of a mathematics problem done by an average student as if to say "It will have to do though it could be better". Ruby ignored her familiar to wipe her hand on a dirty rag and immediately retrieved a brown leather book from a nearby table. She flipped through the decaying pages of the book until she found the page she was looking for.

Sacrificed to the Dragon Prince

Sacrificed to the Dragon Prince

I am sitting in what was supposed to be an easy dress, but feels cumbersome and awkward, especially since it needs to be adjusted from behind. “But she said she was leaving you a book….” “She left several, actually, but none of them had stories inside,” I try to explain, taking a nibble of my toast. “Well, then what…?” “They had LOTS of pictures. Lots and lots of pictures,” I am beginning to feel flushed everywhere, my chest and face growing warm. “And diagrams. Mostly about anatomy and…” His eyes, currently a dull hazel, go wide in alarm. “She gave you…?”

The writing is clunky at times, but the story and the characters are mesmerizing. This was my first dragon romance, and it was incredible. So glad the sequel has already started because the ending is criminal. I want to see all my favorites find their happiness.

CRAVING THE ALPHA SURGEON

CRAVING THE ALPHA SURGEON

I had to keep studying—this was the only way I could avoid his gaze and his presence. After a few more pages, my eyes drifted to the large bookshelf along the living room wall. It was filled with thick volumes, most in Latin or old English. Slowly, I stood and approached it. My fingers brushed over a spine, trying to read the titles. Anatomi Licanthropica, Genealogy of Packs, Mutatio Lupus. I pulled one out, nearly choking when I saw its contents—pages full of strange illustrations: skeletal figures half-transformed into wolves, notes on dual circulatory systems, and countless terms unfamiliar to me.

Wicked Crown

She stops from roaming the shelves when she reads something interesting, she immediately takes that book. It's about human anatomy, she opened it. As expected, humans from here and from her previous life are not that different. There are some changes, but most of all are identical. She even sees some parts that seem still a mystery to them, she smirks and then pulls her pen out and starts to write something on the book. With explanations, she saw two types of body anatomy in the book. One is for normal and the other one if the one who could use elemental powers.
