Promise Her Anything Novels & Stories

I watched her closely, hoping she understood the depth of my feelings. She hesitated, her eyes reflecting a myriad of emotions. Fear, uncertainty, but also a glimmer of relief. After what seemed like an eternity, she nodded, her voice barely audible as she responded "I promise" It was a simple affirmation, yet it held a world of meaning for me. It was a promise of trust, a testament to our growing bond, and a step towards a shared future, one where she would never have to face her pain alone.

I couldn’t believe the universe would work in my favour so quickly. Does that mean Scarlett could be mine now? “I know it sounds crazy saying this… but I promise I will do anything, as long as you will help me,” she rasped, and I chuckled. She really dug a pit for herself. “Anything?” I asked, and she nodded. She shouldn’t have made such a promise in front of a man who wanted her more than anything. “Yes, anything,” she replied, "but you have to promise me that no matter what happened you aren't going to abandon me."

"I... Promise," "I'm happy that this time you'll not gonna break your promise," Sebastian announced. Breaking their sacred promise."I'm hoping that you'll not gonna break it this time," "Hey, we're done talking about this right," I said and looked at him, my eyes are giving him a warning. Thomas is with us for pity's sake.

And I- 'That's so bitter Craig, not all people were the same.' The guy beside me stated with a cheeky smile flustered on his face. My palms instantly fisted at the sight of him. Yukii, stop that. 'Nahh, what for? I'm right anyway, it's not like everyone is the same right? Besides, there are two types of promises. The real and meant one and the real but must be broken one. Either way, promises were made because it's meant and intended to be done but against this world, breaking such thing is inevitable.'

"Who knows whether you can still give my son children? How about this? As for the 80,000 we agreed to give as wedding money, we will pay it after you marry into our family and give birth to a son." I looked quietly at her sharp, cruel face. Suddenly, I remembered the winter before, when she had slipped, broken her leg, and needed a rare mountain herb to recover. I had climbed the cliffs in a snowstorm and searched for an entire day and night before I finally found it. Back then, she had held my frostbitten hands with tears in her eyes. "Julia, when you marry into our family, I will treat you like my own daughter." I had believed her.

I knew what she trying to say but this is not possible in this life, I can't marry because there's nothing like love exits, it's fake, no girl in this world can live happily with me. "Maa, ask for my life I will give you, happily but not this," I stated, coldly. "I know, and I shouldn't force you if I wasn't in this condition but I am in my death bed, and I want to keep my promise that I made to my friend years ago, " She responds. "What promise?" I ask, puzzled. "That when his daughter will be 18 you will marry her and give her a better life despite how her parents lived in poverty." She explains.

He will heal your wounds with his love and care. The future ahead of you is dangerous, my child, but always remember that with your “Promise Mate” beside you, both of you shall conquer your enemies. I don't know if you will remember this when you grow up, but never let what will happen today ruin your life, child. You have a bigger responsibility ahead. But you can never accomplish it without your “Promise Mate." The Oracle spoke gently to Theo, who kept nodding his head as if he understood what the old woman was saying

What could I promise without lying? Finally, I wrote: *I can't promise to be perfect. I'm broken in ways that might never fully heal. But I promise to be honest. To fight for us. To never control you or manipulate you. To be your partner, not your owner. To build a life together on our terms. That's all I can offer. But I offer it completely.* Simple. True. Mine. Marcus showed me his: *I promise to protect you without controlling you. To love you without owning you. To stand beside you, not in front of you. To be patient with your healing. To never make you feel small. To build whatever kind of life you want. That's my vow.*

I inquired and she wiped her eyes with her hands as she smiled widely but then I became confused at her change of expression "Yeah Mr hero what do you wanna ask?" "Can I perhaps know what your mother's name is?" "No you can't I'll only tell you on one condition" she teased "And what's that princess?" "Firstly you'll have to promise me you won't say no to me" she asked, bringing out her little finger "What's that?" "It's a finger used for pinky promise so pinky promise" "Okay pinky promise" I spat, bringing out mine as we locked our fingers together "I'll tell you my mama's name if you promise to let me see you again but I'll only fufill my promise if you fufill yours"

She lay against his chest, breathing unevenly, her fingers tracing invisible lines along his skin. “You have to promise me something,” she said. “Anything.” “No retaliation. Not against Mazzo, not against my father. Promise me.” He looked down at her, expression unreadable. “You think I can promise that?” “I need you to.” He hesitated, then nodded once. “Alright. I promise.” Her eyes fluttered shut, as if his words alone were enough to let her rest. But he stayed awake long after she drifted off, staring at the ceiling, knowing he’d just made a promise he might not be able to keep.
