I can feel the heat of my predator’s breath on my neck. For him I will never be just a memory. I’ll always be a goal, always the thing that lies ahead just out of reach. Kinara harus menjalani hidupnya di Falseland, tempat asing yang penuh misteri dan keajaiban karena sebuah kesalahan fatal yang ia lakukan. Ia dikutuk menjadi setengah manusia setengah burung. Demi kembali menjadi manusia normal dan bisa hidup di dunia asalnya, ia harus melakukan misi penebusan dosa dengan melakukan banyak kebaikan agar bisa bertemu dengan Kinari. Mereka mendapat tugas yang sama, yaitu harus menemukan satu sama lain dan menarikan tarian kesetiaan di bawah pohon kalpataru dan disaksikan oleh seluruh penduduk Falseland. Perjalanan untuk menyelesaikan misi tidaklah mudah. Banyak rintangan yang dihadapi. Kinara dibantu oleh sahabat setianya yang bernama Rhara (berwujud setengah manusia setengah kelinci). Mereka berdua penuh optimis dan keberanian dalam menakhlukkan lawan-lawannya. Jika Kinara melakukan kebaikan, maka akan mendekatkan kepada Kinari. namun, kejahatan yang ia lakukan akan menjauhkannya dari Kinari dan membawanya ke Blackland (tempat di mana makhluk terkutuk sepenuhnya berubah menjadi binatang dan kehilangan semua sisi kemanusiaannya). Tantangan tidak berhenti sampai di situ. Sebab, Kinara adalah Si Terpilih. Artinya ia adalah sosok penentu keberhasilan bagi seluruh makhluk terkutuk yang sedang menjalani misi. Jika misinya berhasil maka semua makhluk bisa kembali ke wujud asli dan dunianya. Akankah Kinara menyelesaikan misinya? Atau justru terjebak dan memilih tinggal di Whiteland?

"Fine. I'd leave. "I reply, and Christiana's jaw hits the ground. "Raymond? "Mr. William calls in awe. "You had no choice. Greenwood, get upstairs and pack all Raymond's things. "Grandma says to me. As far as I know, Christiana and I are a married couple and I refuse to go anywhere without my wife. "I reply, and grandma scoffs as she covers the gap between us. "You scheming, little devil. You think you're so smart, don't you? "She says in my face and I look into her eyes. Silently challenging her to do whatever she can to stop me. "Well, my granddaughter will go nowhere with you if she doesn't want to... "Grandma begins. " Actually Grandma, I'm sticking by my husband. "Christiana's voice cuts grandma, and I stare up at her in shock. I thought I'd have to do this with force, and then try my best to make up for it later. But Christiana just shocked the brows off everybody's face. Including mine! *********** A wise man once said, you never really know someone till you give them power. How about family? Is family the same when there's a fight for might and glory?

Tetapi mereka tidak menghiraukan larangan yang sudah diberitahu kepada mereka. Bahkan diantara mereka ada yang sampai berantem dengan orang tuanya hanya karena mahasiswa tersebut ingin benar benar membuktikan bahwa ada desa kanibal di pulau Kalimantan. Beberapa tahun kemudian, ada sekumpulan mahasiswa yang ingin mencari tau kebenaran desa tersebut, bagaimana nasib para mahasiswa itu?
