A rush of hot, foul air hit my back, followed by sharp pain. Claws raked across my flesh, tearing a burning line down my spine. I hit the ground, rolling twice, just barely managing to shake the wolf off me. However, when I looked up, I froze. The exit was blocked. Both front and back were sealed with countless glowing green eyes staring at me in the dark like fireflies.

Darius' voice persists from the other side, and I don't waste time and begin to shift into Silver, or else before I realize it, I will be speaking to him; I might stupidly forgive him, and I don't want that. In our haste, Silver bumps into the glass window, and it cuts her forelimb. We begin to run for the woods. When we race through the dense woods, leaves hit Silver in the face because of how fast she is running. However, the hope to calm down and forget wasn't working as I continued to think about him. Just then, I feel a presence lurking around me. I take a strong whiff, and it's Vince. I instantly recall the conversation I had with Vera.
