Evelyn crouched low, her piercing eyes tracking the small rabbit darting through the underbrush. Her wolf, Viola, growled softly in her mind. “Faster, Evelyn. That rabbit isn’t going to wait for us,” Viola urged. “I’ve got this,” Evelyn muttered under her breath, tightening her grip on the makeshift spear she had carved from a sturdy branch. The rabbit paused, ears twitching, and in that split second, Evelyn sprang forward and threw the spear at the rabbit, the spear landing squarely.

He picked the flower bunch and gave it to Sarah. Sarah spotted a rabbit and stopped petals. She raised her hand and made a fist and then pointed to her left. Frank stopped blaze noiselessly and looked to where Sarah pointed. There was a chubby rabbit. Frank thought for a minute before choosing the rifle. He aimed and fired.

The Raccoon’s bandit’s masked face held traces of pink and white dust from enjoying multiple sweet powdered pillows from out of the bag. The creature hissed at Nueva, still sitting on the ground and scurried into the cover of night with the pink marshmallow firmly in its hand and its jailbird tail in the air. Nueva put her hand over her mouth as the shock turned into a hysterical giggle. “We just got robbed by a Racoon.” Mira cackled from behind the car. “I know, that’s freaking hilarious.” Evie bent over in a laughing fit.

Never mind the stories- no wonder everyone avoided this place. Something moved at the edge of the clearing as she brushed himself off and Scar froze. It was a patchy, long-legged spring hare that didn’t seem to have noticed him just yet, and with luck, it wouldn’t ever. She reached for an arrow as it sat placidly munching on a tuft of new grass. We kept the fire burning with just the three of us sat around it, nibbling on the fresh, hot rabbit meat. The noticeable sounds of our chewing and gulping as the fire crackled and popped. A flash of movement darted through the brush. I saw it. A rabbit. I didn't wait, I took off after it. “That won't earn any points!” Scarlett called after me. “Not if I catch it alive,” I shot back. She huffed something under her breath, but I barely heard it.

Moving forward, I came across a field with glowing blue flowers and what looked to be scarecrows. They twisted about lazily in the wind as a few birds began to land on them. Snarling, the scarecrows mouths snapped open as their claw-like hands grabbed the birds eating them in one bite. As they chewed, pieces of the birds could be seen traveling down the scarecrows skeletal throats and past their ribecages before the now-ground-up creatures hit the earth below them.

, then he tried to turn around, run to trip and hit his head on a tombstone and fall dead towards an open grave. It was when he pulled the scarecrow from its base trying not to fall, but with a bad movement, the base of the stick where the scarecrow had fallen with him, piercing him in the heart, finally dead, when the scarecrow fell apart, turning to dust and being the straw carried by the wind.
