She must have rushed over after realising someone had passed through her barrier. “Agatha, I'm the one who killed Raven, and there's a reason why,” I said, and she narrowed her eyes at me. “If you're trying to save that Alpha of yours, save it. He's already been branded a criminal by the werewolf council.” My heart sank to my feet. “How do you brand him a criminal when he's done nothing wrong? Raven was a dark witch, and she tried to kidnap me,” I remarked. “What? Impossible! How could Raven be a dark witch? I could have sensed if anyone was practising dark magic in the coven!”

Someone had come in straight from the rain, and they hadn’t wasted time. The first man appeared in the faint spill of moonlight from the window. The man went down with a muffled grunt, his body jerking as she wrenched the weapon from his grip.
