Raven Method Novels & Stories

Once they’re gone, it doesn’t take long for Raven to show up. She saunters into the dining room and says, “Wow, playing second fiddle to your brother, that’s gotta hurt.” My teeth grind together and I ask, “What do you want, Raven?” She walks over to me, her arms crossed as she looks straight ahead. I’ve learned this is how she does negotiations. She crosses her arms to accentuate her breasts, she looks away from you to pretend that she’s uninterested in the topic, and only once she has you in her clutches does she look at you with her piercing red eyes. They only appear during deals and when her… other side appears.

Raven tilted her head like she was listening to something none of us could hear. “Under everything,” she said. “Still trying to reconnect. Still waiting for me.” Marek’s expression tightened. “That’s not what it was,” he said carefully. Raven looked at him and this time there was no confusion in her eyes. “It is,” she said quietly. “It’s not a god. It’s not fate.” Her hand lifted slightly and silver fire gathered without hesitation. “It’s a containment system that turned into a parasite after the kingdom broke it by accident and kept feeding it fear for centuries.”

And as the past had taught them, treading cautiously was paramount, lest they lose their way. Raven, the enigma at the center of the twins' whirlwind of emotions, stood before Shade. As he poured out his heart, trying to bridge the gap of understanding, he closely observed her reactions. However, what he saw was not the solace or comprehension he so deeply yearned for. Instead, the transformation in Raven was undeniable and disconcerting. Her eyes, usually akin to pools of clear, vibrant water, now bore the appearance of a guarded fortress. The expressive windows to her soul, which previously reflected warmth and compassion, now mirrored restraint and caution.

Raven managed to get two hours of sleep before she was up again. The thought that these alphas were almost within her grasp, pushed sleep to the side. Once she gets all the names, she can make plans. How would she get this Bently guy to speak? She needed somehow to get into the wolf packs, but she was human and that would be impossible… Raven got up and walked to the room with the information. She decided she would read up on this possible culprit, maybe someone would jug her memory as she waited at the café for Oliver. She gathered up the manila folders, sticking them in her bag and walked to the Rose Café.

She needed to get them out without the hunters knowing, we planned with a few other wolves including Jace the traitor to sneak out and leave them here to deal with the two angry packs closing in. It went without a hitch, except the fact Raven somehow woke up twice during the journey. She should have been knocked out like Zach for the entire time with just one dose of those drugs. As Zach proved, even an Alpha was kept down with just one shot. But not her, she was far too strong for her own good, but mum seemed happy and proud so I didn’t say anything.

Raven His words echoed through my mind, and I couldn’t help it as I blinked, long and hard, before looking up at him again. Did I have a mate? Those eyes searched mine, hot and desperate. He seemed so honestly confused. Was he serious? The mark was a circle with a half-circle under it. The half-circle had a perpendicular line running through it, which was crossed by another, smaller line.

“Raven’s body is rejecting the multiple bonds. Four alpha bonds on one omega is unheard of. Her system can’t handle the strain.” I already knew something was wrong. I felt it for weeks. The headaches, the nosebleeds and the way my legs gave out after practice. But hearing it out loud made my stomach drop. “How long?” Ethan asked. Doctor Harris looked at me again. “Weeks. Maybe less if the rejection speeds up.” The room went quiet, only the monitor kept beeping. “There’s one way to stop it,” she continued. “Raven has to sever all but one bond. Permanently. The remaining bond will stabilize her. The others will break and fade.”

I watch the door open, Bear, Hawk and Doc walking in and sitting. “Take a look.” I watch as Grayson holds out the box and envelope. Why is he showing them? I stare at him. “Raven’s past is coming back, it’s someone who likes to kill those she is close to. So we’re calling in everyone, if we’re not with her, we need at least three more guys watching her closely.” “You said those she is close to?” Doc looks at us and we nod. “Yes, that includes Ava, so if we’re not going to be with Ava, we need more people around her.” I won’t let Grayson pretend like Ava isn’t a target.

Yna didn’t belong here. Not officially. But history had a way of leaving fingerprints on the wrong people. Raven zoomed in slightly. The moment Yna looked at her phone. The pause. The shift in posture not fear, not surprise. Recognition. “She felt it,” Raven murmured. That made Yna a variable. Variables were inconvenient. They were also useful. Raven stood and crossed the room, retrieving her jacket from the back of the chair. As she slid it on, her mind moved several steps ahead.

“I’ll buy you ten, Carter! Raven sprinted. He glitted like a shadow through the enemy fire, rolled under passing through a laser cut that turned the soil before it into liquid slag, and reached the terminal. He ripped off the cover. There were no buttons, but a direct neural interface – a glass column with fine, microscopic needles. Vesper shouted behind him. A strap had her shoulder armor beating. blood, dark and permeated by the fine red shimmer of its hybrid Nature, over her arm. But she didn't turn back a millimeter. Raven cursed quietly, pressed his bare left hand on the glass and admitted that the Needles drilled into his skin. An icy pain shot his arm up, directly into his cortex. “An
