There’s another shrill cawing sound, and the flap of wings as a bird – a raven, I think – flies out of the forest, alighting on a red-leaved branch in the tree behind Felix. “Good,” he says, giving a sideways glance to the raven. “Listen carefully Ash. There’s a ring. A silver ring, in the shape of a serpent biting its own tail.” My blood runs cold; my heart skips a beat.

She had a surprised look on her face, “It was on my path when I walked in here…” Edgar beamed with smiles, “The book has found you, you can finally fulfill your task!”, he flipped the pages for a while, “Yes!” “What is it?”, she leaned closer , “Raven keeper”, she read. “Yes Raven Keeper” Edgar read through for a while, “Yes Cleopatra this is it. I hadn’t been sure how no one knew which and then how they got away with the things they do. “What’s that mean?” he asked. “Well, some of the whispers I heard call you the Princes of Ravenwood. It just seems like a bit much,” I explained, pointing my chopstick with sashimi on it at him as I talked. Before I could bring the bite to my mouth, he ate it. “Mhm. Well, that’s just because of our family,” he shrugged. “And that means?” I furrowed my brow, annoyed he took my food. “And stop stealing my food. I’m not trying to feed you,” I grumbled.

It was her first time speaking that much in class, and now every pair of eyes was on her. The lecturer hesitated, then cleared his throat. “Alright. For your assignment, write extensively on the significance of the ravens.” He smiled faintly. “Meanwhile, you can visit the school museum. There’s a portrait of Queen Elara- the one Monk Alphonso drew. It’s said her beauty was beyond words.” He picked up his notes and paused just before leaving. “Legend says, in the eyes of the Queen, only can the Raven King be restored.” Liana’s head tilted. “In the eyes of the Queen…” she repeated under her breath.

"The Raven Order is already there." A sudden alarm bell echoed throughout the academy. Once. Twice. Three times. Every teacher looked toward the sky. A flock of black ravens circled above Willowbrook. Hundreds of them. Each bird carried a strip of crimson cloth tied around one leg. Magnus's expression turned grim. "The Ravens have sent a challenge." One bird broke away from the flock and landed on the academy gate. Attached to its leg was a sealed black scroll. Alden carefully removed it. Breaking the seal, he unfolded the parchment.

I asked, I just hoped he hadn't done something crazy like giving it to another pack, other packs were weaker and Derek could command any of their alphas to give it up and they would. "Oh no, stop thinking that Kayla, I'm not that stupid," he said, olli g his eyes as he addressed my thoughts, in moments like this, I wished I could think without him hearing me out. "Of course," I said and stood on my feet, and walked closer to him, "then where is the moonstone?" I asked and he just began to grin from ear to ear. Soon enough, blood will flow." His reptilian eyes searched for her emotions, and he asked her. "Would you like to know what Quinley gave me earlier?"As Raeann nodded slowly, the warlock prince put his hand in his jeans pocket and pulled out a small vial. Its contents shimmered within the confines and he smiled tenderly as he answered.

The riddle is cryptic and well crafted, it'll take some time to decipher but I can't be bothered about that since it's my turn. Arlo turns his attention to me, albeit reluctantly. “And for Isabeau, this is your riddle; Amidst the veil of night, a graceful dance of crimson; silver meets scarlet shrouded in uncertainty. Uncover the accord etched in moonlit secrecy. It whispers like a siren in deep waters, a covenant concealed beneath the veiled gaze of the night sky. What is this enigmatic bond that binds fate to fangs?” There's tension in the air as he speaks the final words.

I laugh at her words. "You can't help us. How about you go back to the guys and forget you saw us? We will be gone soon." I turn to avoid looking at her and see Raven. My eyes widen when I see the guy dancing on her lap. Shit. Turning I look down at my glass instead. I hear Ruth standing. "Come on boys, I could help. I might have who you need, all you need to do is ask." Turning, I look at her and she smiles, winking at me. She said 'Who'. Does that mean she knows who we're looking for?

“What has keys but cannot open locks?” Lucan smiled again. “I don’t even know why this is not hard.” “The answer is a wolf’s paws.” They were shocked again. They look really disappointed and confused. “Our riddles are simple for you,” they said. “But the last one… no one survives it.” Lucan stood firm. “Ask it.” “In darkness, I am unleashed…” They said the full riddle. Lucan didn’t waste time. “A werewolf.” They all growled loudly. “Who are you?”
