Ares suggests while looking at Benjamin who nods with a worried expression. "Are you sure, your mother never told you much about them?" Benjamin questions, making me look to my grandmother, and Osric's mother, wondering if they have any idea what Ares means about the fountains. "I'm sure, she told me I would know when the time came, she always said he would hunt the raven, the lily, and the phoenix, I’m not sure what else it could mean," Ares answers, as Mummo and Mum stand up and move closer, both seem curious about what Ares is talking about.

“I saw it. One of them. Before the Hollow struck, there was a shadow moving… and it wasn’t one of your wolves.” Raven dropped to her knees beside him. “Who?” Ragnar’s brow furrowed, sweat dripping down his temple. “I don’t… know the name. Tall. Dark hair. Cloak with the council’s crest.” Gasps echoed. The room erupted in snarls and denials. “Enough!” Raven roared. The chamber fell silent instantly.

I spotted mine right away it was set up according to our assigned numbers and stepped straight inside. The first clue was waiting on a little chit, just like the rules said. But when I read it, my mind went blank for a second. It was written in the old language of witches and wizards from the Great Age of magic, the kind only I could make sense of. Ancient runes. These were straight-up riddles, and my brain needed to kick into high gear.

It tilts its head, studying me, as if it knows exactly what I just saw. “What are you looking at?” Jade asks, lifting a hand to shade her eyes as she follows my gaze up the tree. “What is that?” “A white raven,” I breathe. “A white raven?” Grimm echoes. “I’ve never seen one.” Jade squints harder. “Holy shit… that’s actually real?” The raven lets out a low, throaty croak and hops to another branch deeper in the forest. Then it takes off. I’m already on my feet, sprinting after the flash of white weaving through the trees.

He spoke quietly. It seemed that, unlike Arden, he knew how to keep his anger on a leash. Yet my heart raced wildly against my chest because of what I heard. If this involved my mother and me, did that mean these people had a hidden motive? or Mr. Ravenchi?

“So don’t try to push me into answering right away.” I closed my eyes for a second, steadying myself. I remember that Pelin had told me this part of the riddle “Seek high and low, where mysteries hide. In arches and vaults, where knowledge dwells.” The words echoed in my mind, clearer now. I smiled, as if I had all the time in the world. “Light this place up,” I said, meeting her gaze without flinching. “What?” she asked, caught off guard. “Give me light so I can read,” I answered simply.

“Someone is already drowning in front of us and you are all just watching?! What is wrong with you people?” “Drowning? She won’t drown unless she purposefully drown herself. She knows how to swim,” Raven answered back. “Help me! Please I don’t know how to swim!” Celia shouted back when she heard Raven’s words. Raven smirked. ‘Really? Let’s see about that,’ she thought to herself. “Bring out the baskets!” Raven commanded. Wren, Robin and two more others suddenly appeared from the crowd carrying covered wooden baskets. They are all Raven’s allies who work with him at the renovation project.

Damn, what do they do to get their money. Raven drives off. ***** We are packed at the castle, still seated in the car. Tareem bring out some pictures. They were all on red and black respectively. Their faces covered too but they all had one thing in common a ring. The kind Tash's uncle had on. Tareem stares at Tash as they communicate with their eyes. "Is that Tenebris orb?", Raven asks and they nod. "What is Tenebris orb?", I ask cluelessly.

It seemed they didn’t care too much about the gruesome battle raging outside; their eyes were on the invisible barrier surrounding the house. As the witches walked along the edge, creating a semicircle around the barrier, another figure stepped out from the growing fog outside the tree line. The tall Raven had straight black hair that ran almost the entire length of her back. She was thin and had strange black markings all over her pale skin, which seemed to whirl on her skin as she began muttering something. A black film emerged as she chanted, swirling around her body in pulses.

Raven thought his death was near when he saw dozens of red eyes behind the trees in the Forbidden Forest. Raven had just learned that one of the Shadow Wolves fighting him was a scout. Raven was completely underestimated as an Omega; even the scout Shadow Wolves thought he was weak and could be easily killed.
