The Moon's Dark Embrace

The blessed messenger makes a moo thundering clamor, measuring me up, as if attempting to gage whether I truly cruel it. I gaze back at him, determined in spite of his shinning gleam. “We should see,” he says at last. “Tread carefully, Nyx. We will not meet again.” And with that, he signals to his supporters some time recently lifting up once more. One by one, they shape a line, and one by one, they vanish back into the sky, squinting out in small bursts of light as they cross out of our world as effortlessly as they came.
