Her morning scent was already enough to make me dizzy. And the way her tongue licked her upper lip caused another wave of hunger in me. How do you spell adorable with sexiness in it? Damn! I was getting mushier and mushier these days! "Stop flirting and respect the food on the table," Flora scolded when she spotted our silent exchange. Even if we weren't talking out loud, she also could see the sultry gaze between us.

ALEX’S POV “Are you nervous?” I asked as I stepped out and opened the car door for Flora, offering her my hand. She shook her head far too quickly, avoiding my gaze. “Not at all.” Liar. I could read her like an open book. Her fingers had trembled on the ride here, betraying the calm front she wore like armor. She had no idea just how much I noticed, every sigh, every nervous fidget, every time her teeth worried that soft bottom lip. One thing Flora doesn’t know about me is that I’m very observant, especially towards people I care about. And I care about Flora—a lot.

"I read when I get time" Only thing I read was fire manuals and a daily magazine on how to grill your meat right. Nothing more. "Really? Well I guess we have our man. How about you start us off Mr Cutler?" Claire challenged. I looked at the book's cover. Shameless they called it. More like trying to write porn on pages if anyone asked me. I had frisked the pages. Roughly and every page had a sex scene about the female lead getting stretched and filled with—

He flinched as she unwound the bandage around his neck. ‘If it turns out Little Miss Let Me Have A Looksie isn’t as innocent as she seems, I want dibs.’ ‘Dibs?’ My eyebrows shot up. ‘Hang on a minute, no – besides. Have you met Flora? She has all of two brain cells at the best of times, and they rarely work in tandem. She’s sunshine made manifest, and not much else.’ He snorted. ‘Yeah, I know. I just don’t appreciate her shoving you away from me, mid-kiss.’

Surely, it wouldn’t be out in the open, but he also wouldn’t tuck it away somewhere that would take years to find. Flora began pulling books from the shelves one by one, opening them carefully and flipping through the pages, hoping to find something—anything—that might give her a clue. Most of the books were old and untouched, dusty even. It was tedious work, and her patience began to wear thin as book after book yielded nothing.

Jamie was walking out the door when Mrs Oakheart said, “Don’t forget your reading and writing lesson at three with Lord Raoul!" Jamie stomach suddenly had butterflies of excitement, but, she did not know why! “Tell her not to worry and we will be back. Say I am sorry too!” Fluff mumbled through his mind linked interrupting Jamie’s thoughts. “What?“ Jamie said confused. “Do it!” Hissed Fluff. “Jeez what got you all worked up?” thought Jamie. “ Fluff is being weird Mrs Oakheart, he says not to worry and we are back soon and that he is sorry! No idea why though!” Jamie said

He twists head the way an adult dog would do when attacking. “Ladies and gentlemen, fluffy has his opponent – the pillow – down but can he keep him down? Oh, he twists to the right and he twists to the left. There’s definitely no hope for poor Mr Pillow. Fluffy goes for the countdown – 1, 2, 3. That’s it people, meet the new champion of the world….FLUFFFFFFFFFY!” I pretend to be a wrestling commentator.

I sat there listening to the most boring account of the book we were reading by Dr Flint. It was Flint’s voice that was the problem. He droned on and on. What made it even worse was that every few lines, he stopped and explained to us what he had read. It was so grating, I could feel myself falling asleep. My eyes were so dry and my lids so heavy. I tried desperately to stay awake, but the more he spoke, the closer to sleep I got. I gave in and closed my eyes, still concentrating on his voice drifting through the room towards me.
