I pull one out, glance at the first few pages, and then slip it back into its place before continuing. “Hmmm,” I hummed as I squatted to see the books at the bottom. My fingers glide along the books, and my heart stops when I read one of the titles, “How to Reject a Mate and the Consequences that Follow.” Slowly, I pulled the book from its slot and flipped through a few pages.

She ran her hands over the cracked spine and the outer edge of the pages, feeling the soft paper beneath her fingers. "I um-" she said hesitantly. "Thank you," she looked back up to meet my eyes, "but I can't-" she pushed the book back into my hands, "I don't. . I don't know how to read." My brows furrowed. How stupid of me! Of course she didn't know how to read. She had told me once how she had been a rogue from a young age, confirming that they were once a full pack but an attack ripped them apart into the remaining group they are today. "I'm so sorry Celeste, I didn't-"

He brought out the notebook he hid under his skirt and kept it on the desk. He opened the first page and and began to read. At the second paragraph Calvin felt his breath hitched, his eyes darkened and he closed the book immediately. Iris had vividly written one of her dark fantasy on the first page and it all involves him. And ways that are beyond brotherly love. "Fuck, I shouldn't have read it" he muttered and shoved the book into one of his drawer. He took deep breaths to steady his heart and then opened his laptop and started to work.

I asked. "Well, tell me what they are about?" Hector replied as he stood up and grabbed one of the books off the nightstand. "What about this one?" he asked, holding up Alec, the Lycan King, who was my ultimate love. I took a breath as my face flushed before I began explaining the book as quickly as possible. "Umm, it's basically 50 Shades of Gray meets Twilight," I sighed as I shrugged my shoulders. Hector looked at me perplexed; it was obvious that he was not understanding what I was saying.

“It has to be here somehow.” It’s been two weeks since Annie’s Hawth’s latest book was released, and I couldn’t wait to read another heart-wrenching supernatural romance. It was always fascinating reading the works of humans on my species, even though they think we do not exist. His heart pounded against his ribs, the burning sensation in his mind slowly ebbing, but the weight of the encounter remained, pressing against his chest like an unshakable omen.

I chuckle, trying to figure out which book I'll have to pretend to read while thinking of how to get into the archive. I lean closer to the table, snatching Ivy's book from her. "Hey! I'm about to read what happened to Edmund!" I look at the cover of the book. THE REVOLUTION: DIVISION OF OUR PARANORMAL WORLD I glance into the page she's reading. Carla pushes Edmund to the wall, her mouth crashing on him with fervent passion. His hands roam- The book is snatched out of my hand. What in the world?! I couldn't read the entire thing, but the brief scan of that page alone was basically written p**n.

Warmth spread throughout her abdomen and her skin tingled. “You seem less repulsed by my monster than by my human side.” Despite their closeness, his voice was barely audible. “I just know you a little better.” She replied. “Both sides are you. And you have been there for me.” Stefan’s eyes filled with tears, as he smiled appreciatively at her. “Of course I am. I am your hero.” Blake With a tired sigh, Blake entered his quarters. Kneeling in front of the bowl of water that rested on his wooden chest, he murmured a few ancient words. The spell worked quickly as the forest colors sprang to life. Shadows were growing long, as night descended.
