Reading Way 소설 & 이야기

This was the part of me that nobody could touch. Rhys read the feature that evening. Sitting on his couch with the magazine open on his lap, reading slowly the way he read everything – deliberately, like the words might rearrange themselves if he went too fast. I sat across from him pretending to check emails and watching his face instead. The way his eyes moved across the page. The way his jaw softened at certain lines. The way he turned each page carefully, not bending the corners, treating my words with the physical respect he gave to things that mattered.

Cassandra said after drawing a long breath. She spread it before them on the table, she passed her finger over each letter, she spelled it through. Then a rippling warmth stilled her heart. It seemed to come from the page itself. A great excitement overtook her. Was it possible that she could really read the terribly ancient scroll of some kind? It came to her like a flash of lightning. She had got the clue. All you had to do to understand the writing was to read it backward. It wasn't long before she found out that she could read everything despite very slowly.

Composed. He was reading.

Otherwise there was very little sound. Nyra opened the letter again before we had gone half a mile. I saw it from the corner of my eye. She smoothed it carefully over her lap, the way someone handled a relic that could not survive rough hands. Then she read it. Not quickly. Not like a person skimming for information. Slowly. Mouth slightly parted. Eyes moving over every line as though she were trying to pull the words off the page and stitch them somewhere permanent inside herself. After a while, she went back to the beginning and read it again.

Read it once. Sent it.

Simon — The Language of Silence He read the envelope four times. The first time was standing at the desk in the sitting room with the lamp burning and the house quiet around him and Mara's door closed and the city outside doing what it always did. He read it the way he read contracts — completely, without skipping, taking each line at its full weight before moving to the next. He read her handwriting, which was small and controlled and slightly left-leaning, the handwriting of someone who had learned to take up less space than they needed.

Irish was now concentrating, the disgusting look Mr Mark had given her was making her inside crawl. Aaron noticed that the omega was a quick learner and was good at every other subject. She needs a little Polish with maths. Aaron noticed how the omega would pout every time she gets something wrong to how her eyes light up when she gets the answer correct. "And that's for today. " Aaron announced, and the omega let her body fall slum against the chair. As on cue, Aracelic made a soft whining noise announcing that he is wide awake. Aaron immediately walked towards him, picking the pup up in his arms. Aracelis snuggled against his papa's shoulder, taking in his Cedarwood scent.
