Hunter Bride
In Odin’s anger he condemned her to marry a mortal man, the worst of all punishments, because in doing so she would also lose her immortality.
She accepted the punishment for her mistake on the condition that she would marry the strongest man alive; she refused to marry a weak coward. To ensure that she married a strong, brave man, she set a trap and locked herself away in a mountain. A dragon created a ring of fire around her. While she waited, she slept until my father, the bravest and strongest of his army, defeated the dragon and made his way to her, there he claimed his bride and they spent months in the mountains bonding and living off the land.
