“Don’t worry, Chris. They won’t bite me.” She thus put her hand inside the cage. What shocked Chris was that the snakes flinched from Chloe’s hand as she put her hand into their cage. They slithered to the side and, much like well-groomed pets, closed their jaws as they waited for Chloe to pick them. Chloe smiled and easily picked a two-centimeter-wide, two-meter-long snake.
