The book was about humans and the mermaid, a fictional book and hence, this might be the reason why Rebecca knew of her. She must to be that famous for her to publish all the series in a year, I love seeing ladies achieve their dreams really. It always makes me happy. I lost count of the time, totally engrossed in reading until I heard the key jingling and the door was opened. Another maid entered, with a tray and a water jug in her left hand.

Will I be able to stand the truth? Rebecca and I have been good friends since we were just kids and I don't want to ruin that by doing this. Part of me clearly did not want to do this but my inquisitive side wanted so badly to know why her character was changing. Rebecca has stopped behaving like Rebecca and has started behaving like...well me. Rebecca of old was mellow,a push over,quite,and very shy. But Rebecca of now is feisty,smart and very bold. It's almost as if they are two people who has been living in that body.

I said. “I know,” she replied. “I still want to.” I held her gaze for a moment longer, then nodded. “Alright.” Her shoulders relaxed just slightly. The conversation continued, and this time it felt… fuller. Rebecca began talking about small things she had noticed, like how no one shouted orders here or how the guards did not look at people like they were waiting for an excuse to punish them. “And the food,” she added, leaning closer to me. “It actually tastes like food.”

She smiled. I watched as Rebecca sat beside her and opened her favorite book. I left, but stood outside the door feeling confused. Rebecca really cared for Anna, as much as I did. I can’t remember Celine ever really showing concern for Anna, or anyone but herself. I went back to her. She had removed her blouse and was relaxing on the lounging chair by the pool, wearing only her bra. Looking at her, I felt irritated, and lost all desire. “You really need to tell that ill-mannered girl who is the boss!” She said as I came in, “imagine the way she was talking to you.”

Taking Grandpa’s warning seriously, I went to the library to take books to complete my notes. As I enter, I notice Rebecca Sinclair holding a pile of book in her hands, with a smugly smile on her face when her gaze falls on me. What is her problem? Every chic in this school wants to be with me but her, she is a pain in ass, just like her grades. She tops in academics’ every year and she knows that she is winning this already! “hey! Ashford! What’s up?” Oliver, my best friend taps on my shoulder, “she is not your type, dude!” she points when he notices I was glaring at Rebecca.

Luke and Geane had nothing to do with each other than a friendship, and for that I had nothing to regret. As soon as I entered the house, life showed me how unbearable things would be from then on. Rebeca was sitting on the couch with my notebook in her hands. My heart started racing again. I tried to take the object out of her hands, but Rebecca was faster than I was, deflecting it. — You wrote a book, Aurora? – She looked at me with a mocking smile – wrote the pathetic story of two teenagers who loved each other since childhood? A loud, mocking laugh. What really surprised me was knowing that she had read more than two lines of my text. In my view, Rebeca was totally uncultured.

While the other friend slightly smirks to get a chance to adore her face and body more. "Alright, wait here." She turned and felt the same gaze again but tried to ignore it and started looking around at the shelves, while both boys smirked at each other and looked at her backside with dirty gazes. Their faces look proud to get her back. Rebecca, realizing their gazes, tried to find books fast, but at last, could not find the books. She turned back to look at both boys whose eyes still had the same beast gaze. Rebecca senses their sights trying to speak less.

It was warm and bright, and everything had awakened. Buds even bloom on the trees. Spring was here. Rebecca came to the tree early today. She wore my favorite white dress and brought a cake to sit with me on the grass. I leaned gently against her with my eyes closed, quietly feeling her presence. Rebecca always smelled clean and pure, faintly of laundry detergent. She seemed to sense me and began talking to herself. She told me about the little frustrations of life, the amusing things that have happened, and updates from my family.

And somehow that bothers me more than the slap. Rebecca’s phone buzzes suddenly in her hand. She glances at it once and smirks slightly. “Well,” she murmurs. “That’s interesting.” “What?” “Nina’s awake.” I barely care. But Rebecca is already typing something back, her attention shifting completely and for a second I watch her carefully. “You actually like her,” I say flatly. Rebecca glances up slowly. “That surprises you?” “Yes.” She laughs softly. “That’s because you think love has to look miserable to be real.”
