Red Moon Rising Novels & Stories

"Children born under the rotating phase of the red moon do not have any unique abilities or what's so ever, like how the elderlies always make it look. The red moon is merely a natural occurrence where the earth moon is in a total lunar eclipse." "I know Astronomy Dad," I said dryly. " Weird things have just been happening and…" "What weird things," Dad rushed in. "Why did Mom name me Luna Rossa? It can't just be because I was born under the red moon….was there something she didn't tell you? Is there something you would like to tell me?" I was in no mood to go around in circles again with Dad, but the constant formation of my life taking shape in just one man's existence was merely an accide

He laughed, a full belly laugh and I couldn’t help but smile. The truck continued to bump along as we sat in a comfortable silence. Devon and Cassi sleeping quietly as we watched out the back. The sun was rising slowly, pinks, oranges and purples littering the scorched Earth in color. The moon, still high in the sky during the transition like a silent observer of dawn. It was mesmerizing, and both Kenneth and I were hypnotized by it; pulled out of our individual reveries by a sudden bump and shake of the truck. Liam had turned and gone over a hole, but he was heading somewhere specific. Turning around and looking on the horizon I saw something, I couldn’t quite make out what it was but Liam

A recognition that lived below thought. The woman's eyes opened fully. Crimson. Not human. Deep glowing red lit from somewhere inside, burning steady and old and alive. Tyra stepped back. "Who are you." "You already know," the woman said. Her voice was warm and cracked at the edges like something that had been through fire and come out the other side. She moved forward, each step soundless on the black soil. Her crimson eyes moved over Tyra's face with a desperation that was almost physical. Like someone who had been kept from something for so long that seeing it again hurt. "You have always known."

The moon bled crimson that night, just as it had in every nightmare for as long as Lexi could remember. In the dream, the forest screamed. Steel clashed against claw and fang. A deep, commanding roar tore through the havoc...a voice that felt both ancient and achingly familiar. Then came the sharp cry of an infant, raw and helpless, followed by the wet sound of something heavy hitting the ground. Shadows moved like living smoke, snatching the tiny bundle away into the darkness. Drops of blood fell upward, staining the moon until it pulsed like a wounded heart.

--- Chapter Nine: The Blood Moon Rising The weight of the night was oppressive. The moon, now full and glowing red, hung low in the sky like a judgment, casting long, eerie shadows over the forest. It was a Blood Moon—a rare celestial event that Aria had only heard about in whispered legends. But she hadn’t known how much darker and more dangerous it would feel until it was right above her. She stood on the balcony of Kade’s cabin, her fingers gripping the railing, eyes fixed on the crimson moon. Something about it called to her. It felt as if it was alive, aware, watching her—waiting.

ELARA'S POV "Look at the sky." Ronan's voice cut through our argument about Derek. I followed his gaze through the broken window. The moon was rising. But it wasn't normal. It was red. Blood red. "A blood moon," I whispered. Kael frowned. "So what?" I felt it then. A pull. Deep in my chest. The baby in my arms shifted. His tiny heartbeat quickened. "It's not just any blood moon," I said. "It's the one."

The only source of light was the luminous moon, its coruscating rays lending an air of mysticism. When the full orb of the moon reached its highest peak, Liam threw his head back and howled. A haunting tone, one that spoke of his loneliness, that spoke of regret, that wished with every breath for a companion, a tone that hid a melancholy, hoping that it would one day be answered by an equal. That would not be today. Today, all that answered his call were groans of pain and the gasps from the spectators gathered around. The kids were changing. Liam watched carefully, making sure each of the little ones was coming though alright. For some reason he had a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach.

Well, is this ritual yours? - When the blood-red moon rises in the sky, it is also called the Moon of the Wolf, Jack answered her. - Yes? - the girl was surprised. - What, and this happens? Never heard of such a thing. - You can, of course, carry out your initiation earlier, but during the red moon, the strength and energy of the wolf increases a hundredfold, a huge amount of energy appears. And this is the perfect day for the ceremony. “W-yeah, well, what a mess,” Emily muttered softly. - By the way, you never answered me, when will this moon of yours appear?

Red Moon Horizon The eclipse reached its peak. The moon turned fully black. And across two territories Two hearts stopped. One from steel. One from silence. But only one would rise again. Because the Moon never wanted peace. It wanted a reckoning.

“You don’t have to explain a thing. An obsessed traitor kidnapped you. We get you safe first, wherever you want to be. Then, if he’s still alive, he will be Strung up from the East Wall the instant we beat Rising Star.” I didn’t need to be a Fate to see that image clearly in my mind. The idea of the red Full Moon fills me with unease too. Briss senses it and squeezes my hand softly. “Come on, let’s keep going.”
