Mated to my Enemy Alpha King

Mated to my Enemy Alpha King

Besides the floating woman, there is another image of the same Goddess, now bound into shackles as a man stands in front of her. Her features are not clear in that image either, but her green eyes glow dangerously while the man’s broad back makes me take a look at him again. The third image follows with a man carrying a child whose face looks like...that of a wolf but his body is normal. My heart misses a terrible beat as I look at the last image of the story. It’s a Beast howling towards a moon. His frame is blurred, making it seem like the painting is older than it looks.

This book was amazing. I couldn’t put it down. The character development was incredible for both Avery and Aleister. I can’t wait for the entire gang to come together again for Dustin’s book. This is Book 3 so try to read Books 1 & 2 if you can to better understand the story. S.Y. is a great author.

I fell in love with this book. Avery and Aleister’s story was the most dark, saddest, evil and romantic so far. Avery’s character was a beautiful journey and they are my favourite couple now, followed by Lenora and Stryker. Still NO love for Amelia, Tyson deserves much better. GREAT story, ty!!!

The ALPHA & His Destined Mate

The ALPHA & His Destined Mate

I ask, grasping his arm subliminally, "they are so huge!" "To different rooms," he says obviously, "that is the best way to get to them." "Amazing," I look at the delightful crystal fixture dangling from the center of the roof, seeing the painting painted above me. It is of wolves in the woodland, pursuing a lot of people. In any case, the unusual thing about them is that the natural's eyes are red, brilliant like the werewolves' green eyes yet an alternate tone. They are truly unnerving and scaring, sending acknowledgment into my chest. I... have seen those eyes previously.

Will Bear the Moon

Will Bear the Moon

“I most certainly will, “ I have to. The sheer injustice of defacing books has sparked a passion within me. I can not stand to abide by such a crime. I would never forgive myself. However, I must correct this blunder before true mayhem comes to life and he is lost to chaos. For the sake of all books! I vow and look for my quill. Where could it be? “Oh, he’s drawn you a picture.”Maddie flips the letter for both of us to see. It’s another of Nicoli’s artworks- I see more stick figures. One is brown and the other purple. They seem to be eating. Bread? Or pie? And a rectangular creature, a horse/bear, sits with them. I feel my lips crack into a smile at the sight. It makes my chest grow warm and

The Wrong Alpha - A Twist of Fate?

The Wrong Alpha - A Twist of Fate?

I look through canvas upon canvas of artwork Lilah has clearly spent much time, care and love painting… there are landscapes… there are young children playing in the forest with a wolf watching nearby…. There is a picture of what I think is Selene the moon goddess with a white wolf by her side standing in the light of the moon…. there is a modern art portrait take of Indie which I have to say is amazing!.... there is many pictures of shadows of wolves in the background of what at first glance look like a normal day to day picture, then I pick up a canvas which Lilah quickly grabs from me…. “Oh that one is no good” she moves to get up with it so I cant see it, but I am quicker than she is and

The shade of my love (BlackBook 2)

The shade of my love (BlackBook 2)

she switched her black crayon to a yellow one. "Oh, what do we have here? Can I take a look?" Ruth said, diverting Gianna's paper to her, "Wonderful! You did this?" Gianna nodded. "So here is your beautiful mummy, I presume," she pointed out a not-so-straight stick drawing representing a woman with red hair and an ear-to-ear smile drawn in red crayon, which no doubt represented her mother's signature garnished lips. "And this is you, right?" Ruth acknowledged an almost similar version of the first drawing, except it looked small, had a black yarn-like excuse of a ponytail above her head, and no red represented ear-to-ear smile. "Yeah."

The Alpha's Bargain

The Alpha's Bargain

Just unmarked leather and the weight of secrets waiting to be discovered. I opened it carefully, mindful of pages that looked fragile enough to crumble at a touch. The first page made me gasp aloud. Ink drawings filled the yellowed paper—not the crude sketches of an amateur, but artwork of remarkable skill and disturbing beauty. A wolf, massive and powerful, its eyes rendered in such detail I could swear they were watching me from the page. And beside it, a woman in flowing robes, her hand extended toward the beast as if in offering or benediction.

Little Red Riding Witch

Little Red Riding Witch

Someday, Gideon may need to teach both Rafe and any children Rosie and I have, how to be witches while I teach them how to be wolves, because if they are anything like my Rosie, they will be powerfully double-blessed. I move aside some clothing and a few books and find at the very bottom of the trunk the source of all the ringing. Wrapped in silk, and wrapped in a strong leather case is a silver mirror. It is a beautiful piece of art. The frame is shaped to look like a forest of trees, their branches creating a lace filigree of their branches, which blossom with large dogwood flowers that almost seem to grow and change before my eyes.

Secret Baby Of the Ruthless Billionaire

Secret Baby Of the Ruthless Billionaire

"But if my boy wins, I'm still doing a victory dance." Redwood Bay Elementary's multipurpose room was transformed into a gallery, the walls lined with drawings and paintings in every color imaginable. Parents milled around, oohing and aahing over stick-figure families, abstract rainbow blobs, and one particularly unsettling painting of what I could only assume was a zombie cat. Eddie beamed as he handed his picture to the art teacher, Mrs. Holloway - a sweet, silver-haired woman with chunky beaded necklaces and paint smudges on her hands.

Sociopath in Love

Sociopath in Love

You could feel the atmosphere of your favorite time of year - autumn. Leah's gaze, wandering through store windows, was caught by two paintings in gilded frames, hanging surrounded by shelves of books and art supplies. One of the works depicted a red-haired girl in a short shirt. She was sleeping and at the same time floating in the air, touching the muddy surface of the swamp water with her fingertips and feet. It was as if invisible hands were grabbing her under the lower back, and she, bending in a shape unnatural for the spine, remained frozen in time. Another work was a parody of the “Vitruvian Man”, only instead of a man, the figure of a naked woman was placed in a circle and square. W

My Ex Wants Me Back, No Way!

My Ex Wants Me Back, No Way!

I smiled before grabbing the canvas and facing it front for them to see it all. After seeing my art, all of them gasped and my heart was fluttering seeing their eyes sparkling with amazement. “Oh my goodness! This is exactly what we have in mind!” Larry said with tears on the side of his eyes. On the canvas, the moon took center stage, luminous and grand, casting its silvery glow over the scene. Below, in the shadowy depths of the woods, I drew, werewolves prowled, their fur streaked with crimson red highlights that glinted in the moonlight.

Frequently Asked Questions

The tale of Little Red Riding Hood is one of those stories that's been retold, reimagined, and twisted into so many versions that it's hard to keep count. I've stumbled upon everything from the classic Grimm Brothers' version to modern feminist retellings, horror adaptations, and even sci-fi twists. The core elements—a girl, a wolf, and a grandmother—remain, but the interpretations vary wildly. Some versions stick close to the original moral about stranger danger, while others use the framework to explore deeper themes like sexuality, empowerment, or societal critique. It's fascinating how a single story can morph into something entirely new depending on the culture or era it's told in.

I've lost track of how many variations I've encountered, but I'd estimate there are at least a few hundred distinct versions floating around. Every time I think I've seen them all, another pops up—whether it's a dark graphic novel like 'Through the Woods' by Emily Carroll or a quirky animated short like 'Red Hot Riding Hood' from Tex Avery. The story's adaptability is its strength, and that's why it keeps getting reinvented. My personal favorite? The Angela Carter version from 'The Bloody Chamber,' where Red Riding Hood turns the tables on the wolf. It's a brilliant subversion that still gives me chills.
