Pink cooed. "You have to help us find out the particular royalty behind this Amanda. You are our only hope now to survive," Ethan said looking at Pink. Pink sighed and went to sit down beside Lilian. "It might be because of me guys. I don't really understand, I feel like I put you guys into trouble," Pink said looking from Ethan to Lilian. "I'll try my best. I'll find out the person that wants to hack my friends, it won't happen," Pink shook her head in determination before standing up.

She glanced at my hand like it offended her. “When you touched it.” I turned my palm over, flexing my fingers. A faint, angry red circle still lingered where the symbol had seared my skin. Not a normal burn. No blister, no broken flesh. Just a mark, like the ghost of a brand that didn’t belong to me. “It’s nothing,” I said. It wasn’t nothing. Across from us, in the front passenger seat, Rian twisted slightly to look back. Dark hair, sharp eyes, jacket open; he’d been with me long enough to know when I was lying.

The two started to fight the bandits while Clarrise stayed with Ayla and me. I looked for Atticus but my eyes were drawn to the man, fighting beside him. The lack of light blue made me sad, and no orange made
