Falling for a John

Falling for a John

With three hundred raffle guests ranging from eighteen to forty-five years old, I cannot afford to let my guard down. The first activity Ashton has organized for the Camp-Away event is a massive game of capture the flag. Divided into four teams distinguished by their red, green, blue, and yellow shirts and bandanas, the participants run amok across the fields and forests, shouting strategies and relentlessly searching for the opposing teams' flags. Amidst the chaos, security personnel weave through the crowd, their black T-shirts emblazoned with bold neon-green letters spelling out "SECURITY."

Marked by the Alpha: Blood Oath

Marked by the Alpha: Blood Oath

Flame licks the treeline on the far ridge, smoke pouring black into the white sky. I lift my head, blood dripping from my jaws, and turn toward the sound. Holt snarls beneath me, writhing to break free, but my weight holds him pinned down. The scent of ash and resin pollutes the air. Ashgrave seems to be openly declaring their allegiance to Redmaw. They’ve gotten their hands on explosives somehow and they’re doing what they can to turn the tide of this fight. Through the smoke, they pour, Derren at the front.

West Ora Academy: It Starts Here

West Ora Academy: It Starts Here

"Here comes the other team." Ares drew my attention back to the arena as the south academy entered through the locker room door. The opposing team's stand cheered while we rhythmically stomped our feet at them. Their school colors were a bright red with gold. All academies had gold as one of its main school colors. The principal of each school chooses the other color. We, the West, have royal blue, the South has red; the East has black, and the North has white.

I absolutely love every book of Rae Knight's I have read, and this one is no exception. Vivid characters you will fall in love with. One of very few authors that can surprise me with twists and turns. Her universe comes alive, and each book brings you deeper into it. Fantastic book so far!

I Married My Mate's Enemy

I Married My Mate's Enemy

“Another signal, Luna. A scout flagged it in the valley — small flare, northern sky. Hard to see, but intentional.” Warren stiffened. “Color?” “White.” My pulse jumped. “White is Mara’s emergency code.” Warren was already grabbing gear. “Send three riders. No banners. Keep their distance from the main path.” Grayson rushed out. I stepped closer to Warren. “This is worse than a delay.” “Yes,” he said quietly. “Do we follow?” He looked at me long enough that the silence became its own language. Finally: “We might have to.” “It’ll leave Red Moon exposed.”

Retrograde

Retrograde

Marcus pressed the emergency button on his device. As four white BMW X5S raced to the scene, the men looked surprised when they saw they got surrounded by sixteen men pointing rifles at them. He had two buttons to choose from on his device: a black button, which indicated life, and a red one indicated kill; without questions asked, he looked at his sister and Angela as Jack stood there. It will be a bloody spill if he presses the red button. Cops were coming; they could hear the sirens. The men dropped their weapons and got on their knees with their hands behind their heads.

Speak To Me

Speak To Me

“Right now, men our best men are being sent on their way to set up around the aera and bring both your parents back to you safely. The men being sent are from the red team. The red team never fails.” There are teams? Gio nodded. We have seven teams. There are Blue, Black, Yellow, White, Green, Orange, and Red. “What about purple and pink?” Chasity asked. Gio smirked, and raised an eyebrow, “This is a government program. Not the girl scouts. We can’t send men in wearing Pink.” I nodded my head, “Good point. They don’t come across as threatening.” Chasity pouted, “Pink can be threating.”

AI WHISPERS

AI WHISPERS

The desert dawn is shattered by the thwump-thwump-thwump of rotors, but these aren't black military choppers. They are painted in bright, aggressive colors. Blue. Red. White. Logos emblazoned on the sides. CNN. BBC. AL JAZEERA. They land in a cloud of dust, sand whipping against my raw skin. "They found us," I whisper, clutching Alex’s hand. "How?" "Lena," Alex says, squinting against the grit. "She lit a signal fire the size of the internet."

BLACK AND WHITE

BLACK AND WHITE

The roads were littered with bodies, all cold and lifeless, bite marks on their necks. In the shadow stood several men, grinning at the sight of a young lady whose child had suddenly begun to cry. They licked their lips, their eyebrows arched as they walked towards her. “Let her go.” I groaned, running towards her. They didn’t stop moving, increasing their pace towards her. The thought of the lady dying with her child crowded my mind. I couldn’t let that happen. “Blood!” They chorused, walking towards her. Suddenly, someone ran towards them, lifting them from the ground and rushing them away at lightning speed. I could barely see his face, but he was darker than the rest, a red crest glowing

The Billionaire’s Regret

she sniffed and Dalvin nodded. They were done with the equipment and they moved to the rules. “Wha… what are the colours for?” she stuttered. “Red, Green, Yellow.” “Green means you want me to continue what I am doing, Yellow means you want me to slow down and Red is your safe word. Whatever I am doing at that moment, when you say ‘Red’ I will stop.” he explained and Aria nodded as she looked at him. “Aria,” he called. “Yes?”

Frequently Asked Questions

The shift from Red to Fortegreen in 'Among Us' was such a fascinating move! I remember chatting with friends about this, and we all had theories. The devs mentioned it was partly to reduce confusion—since Red is such a dominant color in the game, having another shade (Fortegreen) made it easier to distinguish players during chaotic moments. It’s one of those subtle changes that makes gameplay smoother without overhauling mechanics.

I also love how the community reacted—some joked that Fortegreen was 'Red’s cooler cousin,' while others speculated it hinted at future lore. Personally, I think it’s neat how small tweaks like this keep the game fresh. It’s not just about colors; it’s about how tiny details can spark big conversations among fans.
