Fuck! Rafe's mind screamed loudly. He poured another whiskey into his glass. This time it was softer and more relaxed. He had to be in control of his body. He practiced relaxation techniques suggested by Wren. Exhale and inhale in regular motions for a few seconds, then he drinks his whiskey slowly. The liquid slid down his throat more slowly, more comfortably, and didn't cause a harsh burning sensation in his stomach. This time Rafe could relax a little. He straightened his legs under the bar counter, then leaned comfortably against the wall with his eyes closed.

I turn on my calm playlist then hop in to soak. My stress melts away, and my thoughts slow down as my body relaxes. I breathe in the calming scents and allow my anxieties to flow out of my body. I just unwind for a little while before scrubbing off the dirt of the day with a loofah and some body scrub. Then I get out, dry off, and lotion my skin.

I sigh and started heading to the bathroom. I take out all the things I need for my little relaxation. I strip out of my clothes and get into the bath. I put my hair into a mess bun and start applying the face mask I got from LUSH. The music I started playing was bursting in my ears. I'm listening to Vagabond by MisterWives. Something about this song relaxes me. I take deep breaths and sit there waiting for my timer to go off.

After about an hour I can see that the tension has left him and he now looks almost sleepy, kind of like I was before he came home upset. I’m glad my relaxing videos worked for him too. I don’t know what kind of other stuff he might find soothing. To be fair, it could also be that he is curled up on the couch with me and it’s really comfortable.
