As I stared at the flickering screen, the images of Zane’s fierce assault replaying in a loop, I made a silent vow. I would not let Zane destroy me. Max blinked. “That was quick.” “They didn’t add anything,” Sarah continued. “Just the video.” Caspian’s gaze shifted slightly. “That’s intentional.” “They’re letting it stand on its own,” Oliver said. Sarah nodded. “Which means they don’t want to risk misrepresenting it this time.” Max let out a quiet breath. “That’s… actually good.” Another buzz. Oliver’s phone this time.

The car waited until we got the door open and then pulled away. "We're home!" Cassy called and both our moms walked in with smiles. We showed them our dresses and they loved them both. Then we told them about our day. Mom looked concerned when we told her about Wolf paying for our dresses and they both looked upset about the Reapers. "I thought that they were wiped out. You shouldn't go near them again. Promise me, Ruby." My mom interrupted. "I won't. I promise." I reassured her. I sighed and then told them about the phone call. They both looked frantic for a moment but calmed themselves.

He didn’t say the name with love, that’s for sure. “I am.” Hunter nodded hesitantly. “How is Collin a reaper? What are reapers exactly?” Callie asked. “Reapers are kind of like special agents. Trained to deal with combat and other things. Reapers are normally sent out in groups to bring in the people on the list.” “They abduct people?” Callie’s eyebrow shifted up. “Kind of.” He nodded. “What do they do to the people they capture?” I asked hesitantly. “I don’t know.” Hunter replied, “Reapers are required to work on orders, no questions asked.”

“You didn’t even repost my message.” “Huh?” “My W******p status. I posted that picture of you from today. I wrote a really long message. And you’ve been reposting everyone’s except mine.” “Oh,” she said, almost too casually. “That must’ve slipped my mind. Sorry. Aside from that, I didn’t repost everyone, only those that were significant.” Andrew frowned. “So mine wasn’t significant?” Ada furrowed her brows. “Oh come on Drew, what’s up with you this evening? It’s just a post, not a big deal. Besides, we live together. You literally told me to my face how proud you were. Do you really need it online too?”

Akira shrugged, "I'm just saying we don't know for sure. And until we do, we can't ask the pack to blindly trust her." Thane nodded, "I think we e should also remind them of Reese's treachery. He's the one who's been manipulating them, not April." Elder Orion suggested, "We should also reach out to Reese's followers directly, have a quiet word with them and see if we can bring them back to our side."

Once we were done he grabbed the papers and left my office, closing the door behind him. I pulled out my phone and started to dial Katrina, because I did say I would talk to her later about the other half of the test, from this morning and I want to see her again too, but it went straight to voicemail, so I sent her a text and the text was rejected back. That's weird I thought. "Maybe she just turned her phone off and didn't want to be bothered" I thought to myself.
