Rescue Hero Movie Novels & Stories

"But over the years, I've had people investigate Chase. Clues suggest he's intelligent and a natural martial arts talent." Before Hoss could finish speaking, there was another loud bang. A loud crash echoed as Hero kicked over the tea table, flipping it violently. He was furious, and his eyes were blazing red. "Useless! You can't even kill a kid! What use are you to me?" Hero was beside himself with rage, wishing he could slaughter all the incompetent people before him. Those around him were terrified, immediately kneeling while saying, "Mr. Hero, spare us! We're incompetent; please punish us!"

I shoved my wolf deep and tried to focus. The damp air stung my nostrils with the sharp scent of shifter. But it wasn't a shifter who yanked me from the river's grasp. It was a human. A strong, broad-shouldered human with a face etched with concern. I coughed, sputtering water, as he hauled me onto the muddy bank. Only then did I get a good look at my rescuer. ‘Hero.’ My wolf, exhausted and desperate, tried to flee again. But I was too tired to fight. “Stop,” he commanded.

He seemed so secretive, but damn, he was so handsome. Keeping the phone aside, I got off the couch and looked outside through the window. The moon was shining gloriously. I looked at the peaceful sky and mumbled with a smile, "Stay happy, Lance Storm. Thank you for being my mafia rescuer." I would always pray for him because he saved me from having a traumatizing moment. Shivers ran down my spine even at the thought of what would have happened if he hadn't appeared on time. I would be lying on the cold ground, in a pool of blood—either physically dead or alive but mentally dead.

Our eyes locked for a moment, and the pain I saw in them was so raw it made my steps falter. “We rescued him and fifteen others from an illegal dogfighting ring. We think he broke more than one bone, but he’s not allowed any of us near.” I still remembered her desperate tone as they tried to help him. Boxer was snarling at anyone who got close, wobbling weakly on his feet. Fear and pain radiated from him.

“From what? I wasn’t hurt until you took me off the street. Will, what in the fuck is going on? You can’t just leave me tied up here!” But he was no longer listening. The man I knew as Will was gone and my captor had nothing more to say. Moments later Marco came back in the room and went to the en-suite bathroom to start the water. I could smell something feminine that he must have squirted into the water. “Why am I here?” I begged Marco as he came back in the room and cut the ties on my wrists. “I cannot tell you, Hermosa.” He was a little taller than I was, of Hispanic descent and rather good looking.

Just like that, he willingly cut my steak for me, poured my wine–completely at my service. By the time Janet arrived–carefully dressed, full of expectation–what she saw was the two of us deep in conversation, laughing like we knew each other forever. She was on the verge of losing her mind. [It's over! The female lead's men have all been stolen!] [Janet smashed three cups at home already!] [The villainess is ruthless–using info gaps to intercept everything!] [Janet, don't panic–just call all five of them out and confront her!]

The lead officer barreled in, slamming Rafael to the floor and pinning him there. It wasn't until I reached the hospital that I learned it was Caleb who had saved my life. Even though I'd turned him down, Caleb hadn't given up. He followed me home to make sure I was safe, and by chance, he caught Rafael drugging me. Without hesitation, Caleb called the police. They traced Rafael's purchase of sedatives and stormed his rented apartment just in time to stop the worst.

The injustice of it all burned like acid in her chest—how easily a predator could haunt a survivor's peace, how a lifetime of hard-won resilience could be tested in a single second by just a name. As the silence of her room closed back in around her, the lingering panic slowly gave way to a cold, hard realization. She stared down at the dark screen of her phone. The ghost of Dev Raichand had tried to paralyze her once again, but this time, the fear didn't turn to helplessness. Beneath the residual shock, a dangerous spark of defiance began to ignite. He could still invoke the past, but he no longer owned her future. Just then, she saw another incoming call on her phone, displaying the name "

The person that had saved her from the attack was the beautiful, bronzed woman from earlier, Victoria. Lacee watched in horror as Victoria smashed the woman’s head one too many times and the sound of her skull cracking in half was the only thing that stopped her from continuing. Victoria stood up; blood splattered over her otherwise perfect face. She was about to thank her, when the beautiful woman disappeared into the crowd again. “Rinc.” Lacee went back to the fight in time to see the Alpha rip Walt’s throat out with his bare hands and drop the man’s lifeless body to the floor.

The bomb shelter erupted into chaos. The guy with glasses was the first to charge at me. "Mr. Lynch is a national treasure! And you're siding with a makeup thief, a nobody–" "Zip it!" Everett floored Glasses Guy with a swift move, his eyes blazing as he scanned the room. "Make a move, and you're done for!" Annie slumped against the wall, a smug glint in her eyes. She snatched the pill, shot me a triumphant look, and gulped it down with the water Everett handed her.
