Rising Of The Shield Hero Fanfiction Crossover の小説・ストーリー

My stomach twisted with fear and fury; I could not, would not, let him harm us. “Axel!” I hollered, voice piercing through the mayhem. He was close, but the space between us and Auren was becoming perilous. The rogue wolves surrounding him suddenly lunged at him, pushing to cut him off, but I wasn't about to let them. Instinctively, I lifted my energy shield-a wave that sent three attackers off their feet. My chest seared from the exertion, yet I didn't back down.

She raised the dagger and hurled it with all her strength straight at the group. In that split second, I thought of all of them surrounding me. Trinity, Dylan, Sora, Lian…Kylan. “No!” The scream tore out of me before I even knew what I was doing. Without thinking, I jumped in front. My hands went up in a desperate attempt to block the dagger. If I had to choose who to protect between me and those I loved, it would always be them… Always. I braced myself for the strike, but then a glow burst from my palms. The light was blinding, and I caught a glimpse of a shield around us that sent the dagger flying back like it hit a wall.

I can tell by the way she suddenly shifts towards her husband. “It’s okay, Lysette,” Cedric says calmly. “Our Luna just wants to say hello.” He smiles at me but screams when I push my hand towards him, throwing him across the room. I sense people rushing towards me, but they don’t get near; the shield emanates from my chest and all around myself and Lysette. I feel bad that she’s fallen to the floor, unable to hold herself up any longer. I can’t make out what anyone is saying with the shield around us, though I can tell they’re yelling. Some are even banging on the shield, trying to get in to help Lysette. Orrin is trying to mind-link with me, but I block him out.

I promised Rick I would return, and I will. Without another thought, I shift my hand into my wolf claw. I briefly release the invisible shield so I can leap up and slice Daniel down from the rafters. His body slumps down and he screams in pain. Without hesitation I quickly put my shield back up wrapping my arms around Daniel. I start to shift us out of the room when I hear gun shots ringing out within the room. I can see a bullet coming at me as if slow motion aimed directly at my heart. Before I know what is happening, Daniel threw his body in front of mine just as a bullet was about to hit me.

“Read that. Out loud, please.” I look at all of them before turning to the book. When the Shield Befriends its Predator It will foretell a change For winds and storms Will come to the land And strife will begin again. But with the Shield's touch The Predator is blessed So that when death befalls her She will rise again She will stand for the people She will stand for the land And she will fight for those Who are worthy of her love. I look up when I finish reading. “I still don’t understand. What does this have to do with Hera.”

“The connection… I need you.” I didn’t hesitate. I ran to him, placing my hands over his on the shimmering shield. I had no cosmic power. I had no Constant. All I had was me. All I had was my love for him. I poured it into him. Not as energy, but as strength. As a reason to fight. Our bond, reforged in fire and void, sang between us. The shield flared, brightening, pushing back against the gray tide for a precious moment.

“You gave her away once. You don’t deserve her.” Tears blur my vision. “I didn’t choose to give her up!” “But you did,” Victor says. “And now, you’ll watch her become our greatest weapon,” I scream and throw everything I have at the shield. Light explodes around me, shaking the entire palace. Xander joins me, sending waves of power. Lena does too. The shield cracks. My daughter reaches for me through the bars. “Mommy…” Then the shadows explode. A blast knocks us all back.

There was a loud thud and cracks suddenly to appear out of thin air as the shield which had been set up was breaking. Houses began to become visible and hydras began to come into view. Adelia slowly started to shift into her protector form while Adrian started to shift into his lycan. As soon as they shield was down, they were met with hydras who were waiting for them on the other side. "Attack!" Someone yelled and all hell broke loose from there.

Not until. A loud bang almost shattered the roof. We all lifted our heads and glanced up. Cracks were appearing, making the children panic. The elderly, however, snarled. They couldn't get off their systems that they were once strong warriors of the pack. They were on the verge of changing. Even Luna Rose was on the brink of shifting. However, we were all surprised when another layer of a visible shield popped up on top of the dome. I heard whispers from the wolves, asking themselves who created the second layer, and we were all stunned when we saw Victoria raising both of her hands while fixing the cracks.

Imagine if I had gotten the right information from the start, with humans raised by wolves and witches understanding one another’s cultural differences and appreciating each species for their unique beauty. Maybe then I wouldn’t have been terrified when meeting the Alpha CEO of Sterling Inc. Maybe I would have recognized that my arousal was nothing to fear, that it was a sign I had finally met that special someone who would become one of the most important people in my life. Goddess, please let that life be more than a few minutes longer. Now that we have one another, please don’t let it end so soon. Before the second and third missiles exploded, a wall of flesh blocked my view, shielding me
