he sighed, “Well, they were criminals…” I mumbled, “Rogues, darlings are not always criminals. My parents were rogue vampires for a while. A rogue is a person who is not in a pack or into society; it does not mean they committed a crime,” he sighed, and I squinted my eyebrows. “Are any of those guys the case?” I asked, and he took a deep breath. “No, two of them attacked a pack and killed several warriors, and the other one robbed a shop and killed the owner,” he said, and I took a deep breath.

One of the Rogues broke through our ranks and lunged at Alpha Matthew with surprising speed. I watched in horror as the Rogue’s teeth sank into Alpha Matthew’s shoulder, blood spilling out onto the ground. “Alpha Matthew!” I screamed, rushing to his side. But it was too late. The Rogue had disappeared into the night, leaving us all shaken and terrified. As I tended to Alpha Matthew’s wound, I couldn’t help but wonder: who were these Rogues, and why were they so determined to attack our pack?

Alpha caught it mid-air, his arm braced against its throat as he twisted, threw it aside, and kicked it back with a force that sent it crashing into a garden column. Two more came from the left. Another from the right. My breath came out in a shaky gasp as I stumbled backward, heart hammering against my ribs. I had seen wolves before, shifting, healing, fighting but rogues were different. Their eyes were hollow, feral, unhinged. They didn’t move like men. They moved like hunger. “Alpha!” my voice broke. He was already fighting, already slamming one rogue onto the ground, already ripping another off his shoulder. But even he couldn’t block all of them at once.

Ravencrest territory was largely mountainous, and much of Eclipse Pack lived along the long curve of a lake so vast sections of its bore different names. One of the generals’ aides had placed small wooden wolves carved with their various pack sigils facing off against the smooth-backed Rogues. While some attacks were in Eclipse Territory, it was clear Denis had mostly targeted Moonshadow and Ravencrest sections. I wondered if the “Rogue King” were trying to show some special regard for his former pack. As I continued to look over the map, I could see a second pattern of Rogue attacks emerge. They had begun with small, brief skirmishes right inside the city walls and had slowly been creeping

“And of course, you don’t want to mark me because you don’t want to take your throne back.” “I don’t know what I want to do yet. I have no support. No army. It’s not that easy.” “What about these rogues Monty spoke about? What is a rogue anyway?” “A rogue is a packless wolf. It’s not that easy. Rogues aren’t warriors. By the time I have them trained and ready for a war, Caspian would know and we’d all be dead. Well, not you and me…we’d only wish we were dead.”

I go to Hunt, who’s keeping Igor’s other crony immobilized in the car. Kayden, Connor, Lopez and Taylor come near us. We draw our weapons and Taylor signals us to surround the cabin through the back. One of Igor’s men opens the cabin door and is surprised to see we get closer, he draws his gun and shoots first. I protect myself behind the truck and shoot with Hunter and Connor, the guy hides behind a column on the porch and as he tries to get back home, I’m able to shoot him twice on the back. Two thugs attack Kayden and Lopez, a violent exchange of fire starts, I take advantage of the opportunity of the front door being unguarded and invade the cabin.

Knox The distinct smell of hot garbage and rotten meat wafts through the air. The four rogues are sizing Bennet and me up aggressively with their teeth bared. I open a pack-wide mind-link, ‘Rogues have breached the trail, squad A report immediately, those on patrol stay at your post, everyone else stays inside until an all clear is issued.’ Nothing good can come from a group of rogues; there's a reason they were kicked out of their packs. I won’t let whatever half-cocked plan they have play out.

“I went down the rabbit hole hours ago. Everything sounds crazy and yet so logical. I can’t tell what’s sane and what’s not anymore. I just don’t want anyone screaming at me or getting violent.” Robert gave a frustrated and exasperated sigh. “I assure you both. Whatever is happening here it’s escalating, and we can’t allow it to harm either of you. This is a situation I never planned to be in. But basically this is the calm before a war breaks out. I’m stuck trying to figure out who our enemy is still.” “Question. What are rogues?” “Rogue or rogue pack. Wolf shifters who don’t have a pack or are in a territory they have no right to be in. A rogue pack is a pack who steps into the territory o

Eight weeks since Ava walked into the trees, and I've learned to read the shift in Sarah's face before she even opens her mouth — the particular set of her jaw that means whatever she's about to say, she's already decided I need to hear it whether I want to or not. "Thornwood's asking around," she says. "Not just here. Ashford territory, and the smaller pack up past the river too. Garrick wants to know if anyone's got eyes on a rogue pack building itself two states over." "What are people telling him?" "Depends who he's asking. Some are saying they've never heard of it. Some are saying enough to be dangerous." She sets a folder on my desk, thin, mostly rumor rather than fact, the kind of int

' A powerful aura filled with unconstrained nefarious power summoned the surroundings. Alpha Adrian's laid limp at his sides, three huge claw marks slit his chest with deep scarlett blood gushing out as his wolf Mason was forced down heavily by his head whimpering. Nobody is going to harm them, their Queen was protecting them. But unknown to the Queen her true king was protecting her. *******************
