The others were strong international sailors with tanned skin and powerful builds. Calista had been teasing them all day. She bent over in front of them to pick up drinks. She brushed against their bodies when she walked past. She gave them flirty smiles and licked her lips slowly. By midnight, the men had enough.

I wasn't about to entertain this nonsense. "Don't waste your time, Captain. She doesn't feel the same way about you." I forced a cool, discouraging edge into my tone. "And besides, isn't Isabella your girlfriend?" The question slipped out before I could stop it. It shouldn't have mattered to me, but a sudden, tight curiosity gripped me, demanding to know the truth.

I didn’t get five seconds. Three girls were already waiting by the sinks, all fake tans and fake laughs and real venom. ” The air quotes were a bit much and I couldn’t help roll my eyes. “Kate you keep rolling your eyes at me through this date and I will take you out here for all of Chicago to see.” His eyes darkened and I knew he was slightly serious with me and it made my shot flashes of embarrassment and excitement through me. After looking at the young waiter, I knew that would be a bit much for the kid. “So what are we having?” “Ever heard of “The Darling”?” “Um yeah it’s one of the most highly regarded restaurants in the city and you need reservations to get in.”

I reach for the door handle as a second angry knock comes, but I don’t let it rattle me, instead glancing over at Midnight and Marigold. Pleased to see that they’re undisturbed and continuing their breakfast order, I take a deep breath and pull open the door. The Captain glares down at me, livid. “Oh hey, Captain!” I say, giving him my best Princess smile and tucking my hands innocently behind my back. “It’s so nice to see you again – how’ve you been!?”

The captain suddenly chuckled lightly. Even though he wore a mask, his charm was still radiating without any omission. "I told you, I'm only interested in you," the captain said, lowering his head as if to kiss Shirley. Shirley saw that he really wanted to kiss her and suddenly felt a panic, turning her face away. His kiss could only land on Shirley's cheek. "Oh? Do you think I'm not handsome enough? Or not elegant enough? Or, blame it on me not being wealthy enough?" The captain's words became increasingly suppressed.

The Pirates’ Captain said while smiling from ear to ear. Controlling himself, Dareon asked. “May I know who amongst our ladies caught your eyes?” The Pirates’ Captain made a stride near the woman beside Dareon and was about to touch her face when Dareon caught his hand. “Captain Droo! Don’t you dare touch my wife; she is not included in the line of our single women for your choosing!” Dareon firmly stated while still holding the hand of the Pirates’ Captain. The Captain’s eyes narrowed too. “Chieftain, as far as I know you are single and didn’t even have a mistress but only bed warmers. How come you have a wife now?” Captain Droo retorted while giving Dareon a stern look.
