I went out to wait in my car. Axel Starvo. Romano's eldest son. The next heir to the throne. Spontaneous, predictable, and a womanizer. He often gets into trouble and lets others beat him. He never fought back. For him, nothing will be solved through violence. Don't get me wrong. He is perfectly capable of defending himself. We trained together. He even knows how to hold a gun, a sharpshooter like his dad, but he refuses to use one. It all started when his mom was killed. Someone broke into their house. Romano fought back, which led to his wife's death.

He whispered to him. He stood up calmly, walking away from the cell. “The..the guard. He’s working for luc…Lucien..” Janiya’s father managed to say before coughing out again. “He…he..fed me the water..” he coughed out again before collapsing. Ronan’s face crumpled into a frown, his eyes widening as he rushed out of the cell. He made his way to the room immediately, running as if something was chasing him. By the time he got to the room, the door was opened, the room scattered as if a fight had happened in it. He activated his mindlink, wanting to connect to Lena but hers was off.

When the rogues attacked, I didn’t think twice about jumping in to help. Clint’s stupid command to stay behind wasn’t one I had any intention of listening to. I’m a warrior, that’s my job. What I hadn’t thought through was that once I shifted, everyone would know that Andra is a Guardian. Her golden eyes would give us away. During the fight, everyone was too busy to notice, but once it was over, the warriors noticed it quickly.

Beck was shaking, and tears rolled down his frightened face. It made Alyx want to kill someone. “I’m sorry,” he choked. He glanced to the side, where a boot poked out of the rubble. Alyx shifted some of them to reveal the face of a guard. He was dead. “It’s okay,” Ronan said, running his fingers through his hair. “It’s okay.” Noah also appeared stark naked. He didn’t look injured at all. He must have been preparing for his next patrol when it happened. Which meant he wasn’t in the house, thankfully.

He was accused of desertion and faced a lifetime of imprisonment. At that moment, he finally believed what Ethan had told him. He did not believe it before, but now that something similar happened to him, he finally understood how Ethan was wrongly accused. Just as he was at the brink of despair, Nolan brought his men, opened the cell, and brought him out. Outside the cell, Andy met Arnold. Andy said to Nolan, “Release him.” Nolan obediently unlocked Arnold’s handcuffs. He could not afford to offend Andy, especially with Jeremy at his side.

I silently begged the universe to keep her safe. It still didn’t sit right with me that so many innocent people had gotten caught up in this mess. These people used the one moment my security was weaker—when not all the guards were around. Marco being out of the country had given them the perfect window. “You can call me Ronan,” he said, but he didn’t give a last name. “I’m guessing you’ll pass it along to your husband, and he’ll know exactly who I am.” That comment lit a spark of frustration in me. Ronan wasn’t just some random guy. There was something about the way he carried himself—confident, smooth, calculated. He reminded me of Marco, just with a looser edge.

Turning us towards the crowd. “Let it be known that Aliauna, a Guardian and Omega wolf, has kicked my ass here today on the pitch.” I slide her a cocky smile “And that tonight there will be a Guardian Ceremony where I will accept and bond myself to her for the good of our pack and my safety.”

With the hood covering Ace’s face, it was hard for me to see his expression that I was gambling on my life when I said the next words. “Knight Bruno...Jupiter… He’s our bodyguard.” I coughed because I was running out of names for my bullshits and almost laughed at this one. “That man stole our life savings!” Ace raised a brow at me. “Bwother?” Nora turned around and beamed brightly at her brother. Ace smiled briefly at her before returning his gaze to me and pointed at his ears. I nodded in understanding and turned Nora’s gaze back on me and covered her ears.

Now that he finally had her in the grasp of his hand, he wasn't letting the little angel go anywhere. ****** Raphaella told the doctor of all the symptoms she had, and the doctor drew blood from her and took it to the lab for testing. So, right now she was waiting in his office for the test results and Raphaella decided to call Betty. “Hey girl, what's up?” Betty asked in her usual, bright tone. Raphaella groaned. “You won't believe who my new bodyguard is.” “Who is it? Is it that hot bodyguard/ model that we always see on TV? Oh my gosh! Is it Dwayne Johnson?” Betty asked, excitedly.
