────୨ৎ──── Rory stared at himself in the mirror. He had just finished covering his temple cut with a little plaster. He sighed, wondering if that was how he would live his life. Every time he was around Harvey, his body and mentality seemed to always take a hit one way or the other. It was really nerve-wracking. His phone pinged, grabbing his attention from his misery. Christine’s name popped up on his screen. ‘What do you mean by Amelia asked for a double date?’

“Yes, ma’am. I take it all back.” “That’s much better. Have you made the acquaintance of Sergeant Galloway?” “Amy, please,” Amy said. “I’m not in the National Guard anymore.” “And, yes,” Riley offered. “Amy was Brenda’s best friend in Iraq, as a matter of fact.” “Well, now, isn’t that a wonder. Oh, the stories I bet you could tell.” Dixie returned with Amy’s tea, and Ima repeated what Riley had just told her. That exchange took several minutes, during which Ima and a string of men coming from the banquet room in the rear made their way to the cash register.

He looked apologetic. “ it's okay. But please don't try it again. You almost gave me an heart attack " “ I won't. I promise. But did you say Ryan?" “ yeah I did. Is that a problem " “ not really. Just wanted to know which Ryan that was." “ it's Ryan Oswald. My friend Amy stays with him" “ Amy!? As in Amelia Kurt? " “ yeah..... Is everything Okay? " I asked. “ she's your friend?" He asked in disbelief. Okay what is going on?

“Now, hold on! What’s got you all worked up? Amy’s always sniffing around and you have never had a problem with her before.” “You never had a mate before, Ryker! What the hell is wrong with you? That poor girl ate in the corner by herself this morning. And then left after watching you parade around your latest poor choice in s*xual partner to everyone in the breakfast room. She’s your Luna for Goddess’ sake, not some little power chaser. And you let Amy talk about her like that, loudly in front of everyone and hang all over you. I saw my Rayne nod her head, doing her best to recover from the thoughts that haunted her. "All right, let's start," I announced. "Liam, use your ability to levitate," Roland instructed Liam. Once he did, Roland looked at me. "Adrian, mimic his power." It was easy for me to mimic his power. I was also able to make ball fires while mimicking his power and I also could read the minds of everyone around me. "Amelia, try to see the future of any of us. Adrian. Do not read her mind, try to see the future of the person," Roland said.

I told him but he just laughed it off. “Okay, let me tell you what I have found out..” Kenny says. “Okay..” I replied. ”No more interruptions.” Kenny pressed. “I got that.” “You are still interrupting. ” Kenny persisted. Now, I didn't talk again. Kenny was acting like he held something up against me. I felt like punching him but I needed the information. He had it and he was using it against me. “Okay then.” He starts as he gains in on my face. “Her name is Amy just like your past lover. Turns out that she is an orphan. She was raised by one doctor in town. They call his name Kimbro.”

“Master Blair.” There was a knock on the door. Amos stood at the door with a briefcase. “Come in.” Amos walked in and took out a document from the briefcase. He handed it to Blair and said, “This is information on everyone named Rory Hammond in Dorland.” “Rory Hammond?” Tracey looked at Blair in confusion. ‘Who’s that? ‘Why is Blair looking into him?’ Blair flipped through the document. He was expressionless, but there were turbulent emotions in his eyes.

But, no matter what, I wouldn't leave here until I spoke back to her. "This isn't—" "What's wrong with you?" Roy's deep voice covered the hallway, cut into me. Huh? I stared up at him. Funnily enough, he was glaring at her. Why was he angry? Did he know me from somewhere? "Excuse me?" Amy snorted, that frown beaming on her face again. "What's wrong with you, Roy? You're—"

Rory’s POV “Wait!” came a voice behind me that I didn’t recognize. I turned and saw a man dressed in a sharp suit doing his best to keep up with me. I slowed down and looked at him. “Who are you? What do you want?” I asked, holding up my small can of mace. The man held his hands up in surrender. “Hold up, my name is Ben. I work for Mr. McFarlan as a bodyguard. He sent me to protect you, something about a school stalker. You are Ms. Rory Hill, aren’t you?” he asked.

AVA "Honey, Amy's here!" My mom shouts. "Coming!" I hurriedly got out of bed and dashed downstairs to meet my best friend. Mom pulled open the door, revealing Amy already dressed up for my birthday party tonight. I laughed and sized her up and down. "What on earth has gotten into you?" I ask, bringing my hand over my mouth while staring wide-eyed at my best friend's costume outfit. You wouldn't believe that Amy Darcey, the richest and most pampered girl in the whole of Wolf Academy, is wearing a full-body bear costume with her head sticking out. Even after wearing the bear costume, not a single strand of hair was compromised in Amy's head.
