Chapter Two: SIGHTING Later that night, Rojean dolled up to go to a place that was both a nightclub and a bar that everyone was talking about. She was old enough, for sure, especially if she was going to get married soon. But she was never the kind of person to go out on the weekends, to a club or even a bar and always preferred the comfort of their apartment which Lucas didn’t mind at all even when he wanted to go out. She was in a cream coloured off shoulder dress which stopped mid-thigh and hugged her curves beautifully.

Getting back on my feet, I made my way towards the bath where a few other maids were waiting for me already as the intoxicating smell of roses became a part of the atmosphere. I got out of the bath smelling myself as the sharp scent of roses had deeply penetrated my skin. Water dripped down my fair skin as I stood up and walked away from the bath. When I was done with everything, I saw a maid bringing an extravagant light pink gown which had white butterflies and flowers decorated all over the bodice as the skirt was quite puffy and pretty. Not more than a few minutes passed before Rose came into view from behind the bookshelf. She had only left a small gap between the heavy furniture and the window, just big enough for her to get in and out. It wouldn't be dark, Sebestian noticed that although she had pushed back the bookshelf, the chair and a small coffee table, she had left the two small w climbing lamps as, not to mention that one of the four walls in there would be almost one hundred percent window.

Rose left the living room and went to her room to change her clothes and wear some comfy clothes, She went inside her closet and was taking out her clothes when she heard someone open the bedroom door; she thought it was Noah or Nina, Aunty Lina also could be, so she ignored it until she felt two pairs of hands hug her from behind, Rose was so frightened that she screamed. However, a hand pressed on her mouth, and her scream sounded suppressed by that hand.

Rose took a deep breath, walking back up the steps. I didn't retort, I just followed her again, but this time, that aura of happiness from our recent reconciliation was lost and I didn't quite know what to think. We walked side by side in silence, I felt her gaze on me from time to time, and as soon as I returned the look, she looked away, looking distressed. As soon as we stopped at the door of her room, Rose took the key, putting a lock of hair behind her right ear, making my attention fixed on the transparent bandage in that spot. She has a new tattoo!

How did it get there? Rain stared down at the rose she had found by her bedside the second the woke up. The scent drifting in the air and causing her to smile. It reminded her of her time in the cabin and Rain didn’t realize how much she missed waking up to the comforting scent of roses until this one was brought to her. Rain silently wondered with a smile, would they still let her go back to the cabin or did Alexander plan to have her stay in the mansion permanently?

“Sorry, I’m a bit out of it.” She shrugged, and opening the small door in the gate. She had no umbrella with her, I’m guessing she go out in a hurry. Who wouldn’t when their cousin was standing in front of her own home gate, and staring at her house like a psycho? “Don’t apologize. Let’s get you inside before you catch a cold.” I nod, following her through the door. The walkway is just like I remember, on each side are prize winning roses. Of different colors. Huh? When do black roses exist? I took a small detour from following Alexis, bending over a patch of those strange black roses.

After the tour Rosa and Sofia thanked Will and went back to their room. They were exhausted and decided to take a nap till dinner time but suddenly Rosa remembered that she left the book which she borrowed in the library so she rushed back to the library. After taking the book she was heading back but stopped as she saw a faint reddish glow at the corner of the library. Out of curiosity she went there but what she saw there scared her out of her wits. She would have never imagined it in her wildest dreams.

As they walked, the white room slowly faded into a dark void with only an illuminated crystal walkway as their path. Off in the distance, Esper could see a floating crystalline structure covered in overgrown blue rose bushes. When she reached the entrance of the rose garden, Esper halted in her steps. Lying in the center atop a bed of blue roses was a woman with overflowing silver hair, moon white skin, elongated ears, and slanted eyes. "Who is that?"
