Mayari stated, her voice cold and unyielding.
Tension rise between them as a strong wind whipped through the air, harshly blowing their strands of black and white. The dark clouds in the sky began to shift, as if a storm were brewing amidst their heated argument.
"It seems that it is already too late." Her subconscious stood up, displeased of Mayari's stubbornness.
She then raised her head to gaze at the lone flower, and Mayari followed suit, lifting her eyes to the delicate bud. Its petals trembled ever so slightly, as if poised on the brink of blooming, teetering between dormancy and full, vibrant life.
