I looked at him confuse but I took the money. "Do you want anything?" I asked. "The usual." He said and I nodded. I took my phone and walked out from the house. I was walking towards the bakery 2 blocks away from my house as I looked up to the gloomy sky. "Ms. Estelle." I stopped and I looked down to see 2 bodyguards standing in front of me. I gulped nervously and they gestured me to get into the car. "I'm sorry, I think you got the wrong person." I said politely and before I get to walk pass them. An old man got out of the car and my eyes widened. He gestured to me get into the car and I obeyed him right away.

“I’ve brought what I promised.” I gestured silently for her to continue. She walked to the table and opened the parchment across it. It seems like a map of some sort, it's stained, torn, but very familiar. “This is a strategic sketch of your palace,” she said. “This can only be drawn by someone with intimate access. Look closely. These details, guard rotations, weak points in the eastern wall, and patrol gaps during moon rites, they aren’t public knowledge. Not even to most of your council.”

He passed to Dalton, who read with different emotions on his face. “Do you recognise the writing” “No, uh, it's obviously scripted. So that I can be blamed obviously.” Dalton let out. “Check for scroll that Gaius signed when they were fighting for borderland.” Ariel ordered the standing guards. The guard in charge came forward, rummaging through a drawer that appeared at the top of the table. He brought out a scroll, and peered at both of them, before sighing. “Not again. It's clearly the same thing.” Ariel gave Dalton a death stare.

The royal archives lay deep beneath the palace, a labyrinth of stone shelves and ancient scrolls lit by enchanted silver lanterns that never flickered. Dust motes danced in the cool, still air, carrying the faint scent of aged parchment and dried herbs. Only a handful of scholars and the king himself were permitted here, yet tonight the heavy doors had been opened for Caelan alone — with Lucien standing guard at his side.

“This part is mine.” She hesitated, then nodded. I stepped forward. The storeroom door was open. Inside, the guard stood with his back to me, flipping through a small ledger. Papers were spread across a crate. Names. Routes. Dates. Proof. I closed the door behind me. The sound was soft, but he heard it. He turned. Shock crossed his face. Then recognition. Eventually, we reached a massive garden outhouse bigger than my actual home. A royal guard stood outside. Unlike any other royal guards I have seen so far, including Kida and Simon and their crews, these guards wore a deep red suit with the King's insignia, a phoenix-lion fusion with the Valeria Crown above it. "Cadmus," Caelum acknowledged the guard and nodded once, his voice and tone changing. He stood taller, his aura more of a royalty now than when we're together in the Mansion. I still feel sick to my stomach but I mustered every courage to stand as tall as I can, holding my head high, like I belonged even if every voice in my head said I can never belong.

I looked down and saw the royal scroll, I picked it from the floor and dusted it as I stared at it.

the king said, trying to contain his anger. “ I am sorry, my King. but the lady had something she wanted to show you,” the guard who Accompanied the Queen said. in his hands, he held a crumpled piece of paper. Judy knew exactly what it was without having to look at it any further. she began to panic, trying to find the Queen's eyes. they were safely hidden under her Veil. the god works to work the King and handed him the paper, he discerned it, finally turning to face Judy.

I think I find something that you may want to look at!” A guard called out as he jumped off the banister of the house the Mercenaries had came out of earlier. His face was hard as he rushed across the dirt path, kicking up dust in the process. For some reason, this Guard reminded me a lot of the General. His face and shape where seemingly identical. The only difference was that this young man’s hair was brown instead of salt and pepper. In his hand was a single sheet of folded parchment paper, clutched tightly as he ran. I glanced over at the General, finding the resemblance uncanny. The General brought his eyes up to meet th
