Whispering. “Run.”

“RUN” I didn’t hesitate a second, but I ran straight for the old lady. First, my back was facing cheers and howls; then, right before I collided with the old lady, I could hear the alpha shout my name. I didn’t stop; there was no time to waste. The old lady just stared at me, and not before I slammed straight into her did it seem to occur to her that I was attempting to run her down.

He slid his fingers into his hair and exhaled deeply, his vision blurring as the entire place spun around him like a whirlwind. He weaved through the crowd, their bodies reeking of sweat and alcohol. “Fuck!” He mumbled as he wobbled, struggling to make his way to the restroom, his legs unsteady. Pushing the door open, he squinted through the dim light. The air was thick with the scent of disinfectant and stale air. As he staggered towards the urinals, he collided with a broad figure, his senses heightening. “Watch it.” A low husky voice growled, a hint of warning in it.

I scrambled toward the open door, my chest heaving, every muscle in my body screaming for release. "Cassius!" I shouted, though I knew he wasn't in there anymore. Just the beast. I sprinted into the corridor, not looking back as the sounds of visceral, tearing flesh echoed behind me. The hallway was dark, illuminated only by the faint light coming from the main entrance of the pack house. I could hear shouting, the distinct sound of gunfire, and the screams of men dying. I ran until my lungs felt like they were filled with broken glass. I reached the main floor to see Malakai and Tavian engaging a group of three monsters near the grand staircase.

The earthquake struck suddenly, and everything around shook violently as if the entire world had lost its balance. I steadied myself and held onto the wall. Then, I ran toward the door. But Flora Blanche stood in front of me, blocking my way. Her face was pale, and she stood frozen in place as if she was scared out of her wits. I gritted my teeth and pulled Flora along, intending to take her with me. However, her expression suddenly changed. She broke free from my grasp and threw herself to the side. I didn't have time to process why she did that.

He felt upset because he failed to perform his action. From a distance, Layla only saw someone in a suit just come out of her mother Zella's hospital room. Layla felt suspicious because, so far, no one had visited other than her and Layla alone. Layla, carrying coffee in her hand, immediately ran after the man and deliberately bumped into him. The coffee she was holding managed to spill on the old man's back. "I'm sorry sir... I didn't mean to," Layla said, slightly lowering her head before she looked at the other person.

My heels slammed hard against the pavement and I prayed, begged and hoped it wouldn't break on me. I didn't know my way back to the hotel or possibly, where I could run to. I just had to leave! I took many turns, glancing back each time only to see the guards following. My heart sped up and at some point, I kicked off the shoes. Good thing I didn't pick the one with straps! My run was cut short when I suddenly bumped into someone. The impact almost sent me stumbling but he caught my arms before I could hit his open car door.

I urge myself. “Run?”

“Run, run!” “Lunatic! Andrius is a lunatic!”

She noticed the man in weird dressing didn't even spare her a glance, it was as though she was talking to herself. Disappointed at how she was snubbed, she cursed inaudibly when she heard footsteps approaching them, she continue running as fast as she could to get to the bridge subconsciously telling herself that she must not get caught, no matter what happened to her, she must not get caught by them, she must not get killed by them.
