6: Halfway to the bungalow Jim’s lungs were burning and his legs shook. He stopped and bent forward with his hands on his knees, trying to catch his breath. He was more out of shape than he realised. Coming up behind him he heard the familiar rumble on either side of the path. There seemed to be two of them now. There was twice as much noise and the ground on either side of the path shook.

I turned without looking again and pulled Jasmine. "Come on, Jas. Lets go. We'll come back for the car later." I whispered. She nodded with tears in her eyes as we both turned and ran towards the woods as I heard Dolph yell at Griffin. "What the fuck, Boss?!" he yelled giving us away but we didn't hang around to see what happened. Luckily, Jasmine and I were excellent runners and hit the tree line before we heard both Griffin and Cedric yelling for us to stop. "Lilly! Damn it! Fucking stop! Baby, please!" Griffin screamed but I just kept going.

Darren asked worriedly, making me whip my head up in question. Rune let herself fall on her knees on the snow covered earth next to Pernwél. “Look.” She was pointing towards Pernwél’s back. “There is a marking on her back.” She traced her fingers gently through the three upright bars marring her coat, the tops of the outer two bars were leaning toward the top of the center bar. Three circles were placed above that peak. It looked very strange, not a normal fur discoloration. “It looks like a giant claw.” Darren chimed in.

With that being gone, Saxe is as good as a bat in daylight. “Hiding yourself now, mongrel?” As Saxe said that, Remus hears squelching underneath. The red vines are moving to the tone of the human-bat. He figures that Saxe has been hiding in a thicket of the vines. It will explain how he cannot detect him even with his Wolf eyes.

“See you tomorrow.” “Yes. See you tomorrow.” She smiled and saw us off. “Are you tired, Aki-chan?” I asked her as we walked towards the bus stop. “Mm. But I’m okay now. Aki played a lot today!” She reported enthusiastically, her big brown eyes as alive as I had not seen them in quite a while before she came home a week ago. Her black her had been tied on both sides by her father as best as he could but they were now quite messy. She had evidently been playing a lot.

Alright,we'll try them out" the older cop said as they descended the flights. Tom had his shoes on now, they felt different, they looked different, a little new, polished in fact, a thought collided with the shoe mystery, he had to get to the bank, his account must be emptied today, he had to fix his apartment, no, that could wait. He had to catch the game, he has a voucher, yeah, he wouldn't miss that.

Maylee’s POV My alarm goes off signaling the start of the day. I snooze the alarm and the 5:00 am flashes my phone and I simply lay in my small bed thinking of what the day holds. I have an Anatomy test today, we have models with pins stuck in them indicating what we have to identify. I wouldn’t be too bad except we have to spell them all correctly. So, that is stressful; I have work at the diner tonight and my mom is working at the boutique.
