STEALING THE HEART OF MY ALPHA
My heart ached knowing I would never get to experience running with my mother, but I wished she knew I found her family, our family — that I was no longer alone.
Dry leaves rustling and twigs snapping were echoing around, and soon more paws thudded the earth, making the ground shake at the intensity. I knew our pack members were joining the run. Everyone started to move away from me, and the next thing I knew, Thunder was already beside me, running at the same pace as I did.
The moon was already at its peak and the wind was getting colder, but it didn’t bother me this time. In fact, it was giving me an exhilarating feeling, as if I was one with the cold wind.
