Javier growls roughly. * * Lyrien snarls when he sees the blurs of warriors in front of him. He cannot even call them that. More like scrawny Betas and omegas who look as though they have caught some deadly disease. But they are quite abundant in numbers, their weapons are poised, directed at him, currently blocking his path...To his mate. Heavy footsteps echoed upward from beneath the sanctuary. Closer. Closer. Then the first warrior emerged. A gigantic armored guardian stepped from the glowing chamber below, silver armor covering its massive body while ancient Lunar symbols burned across its chest. Its eyes glowed bright white beneath an enormous wolf-shaped helmet, and every movement radiated terrifying power. Another emerged behind it. Then another. And another. An army. The sanctuary’s hidden guardians had awakened. Kael blinked repeatedly. “Okay. That is admittedly the coolest thing I have ever seen.”
