Two days had passed since Adrian surprised Savannah with gifts, and their home had been filled with nothing but laughter and peace. The weather was clear that morning, and the sun shone softly through the curtains. Savannah was in the kitchen with Aunty Lisa, watching her boss the maids around. “Add more salt! No, not that much—eh! You people want to kill my son-in-law?” Aunty Lisa shouted, making everyone laugh. Savannah giggled as she stirred a bowl of fruit salad. “Aunty Lisa, you act like Adrian can’t eat anything that’s not perfect.”

They're currently being served their second course which is a deconstructed salmon salad. "What do you mean?" Ellyse felt confused, she didn't know what to take from his remark. You don't have to think of it as anything," She licked her lips and shifted on her seat.

They needed me to bring salad. Which I had forgotten. Mila pointed at the empty spot on the table where it should have been. “You had one job,” she said. “I killed Godmode,” I protested. “And I saved your ass three times,” she said. “You still forgot the salad. Monsters.” Dante held up a bag of chips. “Improvised salad,” he said. “Accepted,” Mila said. “Barely.” Niko stood at the grill, utterly out of his element and pretending otherwise.

He smiled when he saw the fridge full to the brim. He checked the freezer and saw some pink salmon that was wrapped in brown paper with a familiar scribble on it. He pulled out the fish and decided to make a salmon salad to take advantage of the fresh fish that was caught from one of the falls within his father’s land. He was chopping some tomatoes when Lina appeared in the kitchen. Her hair was wet and she had changed into a colorful printed house dress with a square neckline, long sleeves and the hem of the dress reached her ankles. She was basically fully covered but Eon had to avert his eyes for she looked so damn sexy as she strode in the kitchen, barefoot and the material of her dress

she asked. Her voice was a little too high and her hand a little too unsteady, so the plates rattled against each other as she set them down. Jensen stepped back and she moved around him to grab the salad. She pulled out two bottles of salad dressing, ranch and Italian. “Which, if either, do you like?” she asked. “Ranch is fine,” he said. “Does Tim get any?” “Tim is not really a fan.” she replied.

And I plant a soft, lingering kiss on those succulent lips. I heave out a satisfied breath as we part. Life is getting real good. “So what exactly are we having?” I ask. She flashes me a grin and starts unveiling the dishes one by one. “This,” she says, lifting the lid off the first tray to reveal a perfectly seared ribeye steak, “is some lean protein to maintain my husband’s toned muscles.” My brow lifts. “My muscles, huh?” Ignored. She rolls her eyes and lifts the next lid. “Mashed potatoes. Complex carbs to keep him fuller for longer… and keep that energy up…”

The seat is comfortable, and the place is so clean. It is not crowded like the last time we went. After ten minutes Craig comes back carrying our meals effortlessly in one hand. I am amazed that he can do it. He must have worked here for a long time. "Mom, you love salad?" I ask. Cheryl looks at me with a weak smile on her face. *CHERYL DO NOT EAT VEGETABLES THAT MUCH BEFORE THAT IS WHY I THOUGHT SHE HATED SALADS. I THOUGHT THAT SALAD WAS FOR KANE.*
