I'm not a cruel person, I may or may not have tied her up in the beginning but seeing her weak and dangling frame I didn't want to do that again. I was my own business man and at least I didn't have to die every couple of years out of suspicion of not aging. Now that vampires were out we were safe to keep our businesses and die when the time was right. It felt like a weight was lifted off of me because off all the trouble that would be to keep dying and hiding until I died.

I asked. Her eyes were moist like something frightened her. She put her hands on my arm and lean on my shoulder. "You died in our dreams, Selene," "Our dreams?" I repeated the words as if to confirm if I heard it wrong. She nodded. "Albert and I had the same dream," I was quiet for a while then I smiled at her. "I will live more years, Sienna, believe me. Nothing's gonna happen to me, okay?" Thirty-seven years to be exact.

Me praying silently and Kira-crying in the embrace of Sir Flinn. I closed my eyes again as I heard the signal. Then we heard the doctor say, “Time of death, 8:45 pm.”

The butler gulped and braced himself as he continued, “Mrs. Frank… is no longer breathing…” Mark’s breathing came raggedly, and I detected panic in it. Just when I wanted to listen closer to determine whether my ears were deceiving me, he spoke, and it was ruthless. “She’s just pretending! Fine! I’ll see how long she can keep this up! “She managed to survive in the tough conditions of the wilderness, and she can hold her breath for more than ten minutes underwater! She’s just scaring all of you because you have no medical knowledge! Get my doctor here, and I’ll expose her lies right in her face!”

Minus shouted. I wanted to be pissed at the way he said “she,” but at this point, I had some of the same thoughts. Why was I here? Why had my uncle asked Minus and me to be here at the same time, when he’d done everything in his power to separate us and keep us apart eight years ago? My uncle said nothing for several seconds, but quietly motioned for Minus to re-take his seat, before finally breaking the silence. “I’m dying.”

At that moment, the bus pulled up beside me. Under Adrian’s watchful gaze, I didn’t want to argue. I boarded the bus calmly. They were driving a supercar and reached the destination quickly. In contrast, the bus I was on was old and sluggish, swaying along the road. It would take at least four hours to get there. My phone vibrated. I saw Adrian and Bella Reed interacting intimately in the outing group chat. Adrian sent an animated boy blowing a flying kiss. Bella immediately replied with a blushing, shy rabbit. He sent a heart-stealing thief. She answered with a little figure holding hands, captioned "locked by you".

The bodyguard rushed toward Everly and was able to grab her hand in time. "Ms. Hilton, please don't do this. We won't be able to answer to Mr. Synder if you die." "Fuck off. I don't care about that. I'll never be his match when I'm alive. I'll definitely haunt him and all of you after I die." Everly's voice was very loud. It didn't sound like she was a dying person at all.

The morgue was cold, carrying a foul, sterile smell. Expressionless staff pushed me into a metal drawer. With a soft "click," the door closed. The system's voice echoed in my mind. [Death confirmed. Finally, things were coming to an end.
