On his first day at work, JC was quite energized. He got up early and geared himself up, coat and tie and all of those rituals an office worker needs to accomplish before going to work. Lucian swabbed the tears from Sarang’s pale cheeks then squished them together and chortled at his duckling face. “Why ish mah-tar wafing?” Sarang mumbled and Lucian dropped his hands. “Why is master laughing?” “You always amuse me.” “I’m glad.” His stomach rumbled. “And hungry. My lessons start in an hour so I must make haste.” Sarang hopped off the bed, skipping to the door. He reached for the handle, pausing when Lucian called his name. “Sarang.” “Yes, Master?” Sarang twirled, his mood elated.

THE NEXT DAY Lucian woke up only to find Latton gone. He stood up and to his surprise he was wearing socks. He specifically remembers only wearing boxer briefs when he slept. He went out and found Latton watching the news. She waves at him with a gleeful smile, then turns off the TV, “Good you’re awake, what do you want to eat for breakfast? I think I still have ingredients for pancakes, I have eggs, bacon, sausages, and fresh fruit…” He stared at her intently as she spoke. He felt relaxed, comfortable, and pleased. “So what do you want?” She inquired.

I guess being in love does really change people’s overall point of view. “I’m sorry about that.” Lance was quick to apologize when he realized he burped really loud without even trying to turn around or cover his mouth. “That’s okay,” I let out a short chuckle. Perhaps, I could burp around him too and make things even. I just had a second breakfast today and honestly, it’s better having breakfast with people who don’t suck the air around you. “My turn.” I teased Lance after shoving the last pork sausage into my mouth. I quickly chewed it before eventually swallowing as if I was in a rush. Then I grabbed the glass of water and drank everything before eventually forcing myself to burp.

I shivered at the thought of that I headed to the river to wash up. " I'm Not a kid!" By the time I returned, he was ready to go. I headed to my Caravan and pulled out some bread from my stash.
