I said, my voice sharp, though it trembled slightly from the lingering tension between us. Marco looked at me, a smirk forming on his lips, the kind that made my blood boil. “Come on, Sarah, just one. I need a little draw, or I might faint from all this stress.” He put on this mockingly serious face, like he was acting out some ridiculous scene. It was infuriating, how he could switch between being deadly serious and completely unserious in the span of seconds.

I exclaimed. "What do you mean, I still look the same!" He said, trying to be all polite. "Oh stop it! I admit you were moderately good looking before but now you are a full blown stud! I mean just look at your arms and that cute mustache you're keeping," I teased him further. "Well I do what I can," he said, with a mischievous smirk. That smirk could only mean that he has caught on to the fact that I'm trying to tease him and he was playing along just fine.

He sarcastically said I rolled my eyes, adjusting the level of my bag "Sarcasm is that what we’re doing now?" "Oh please, Tara. I wasn’t being sarcastic" "Really why don’t you tell me what that was all about, you know the manager thing you just said," I said walking into the elevator and pushing the button. "Uhm-Uhm" I mimic him "You know what, I will let it slide, I am tired anyways but I haven’t forgotten about it so you better get your ass early for work if you don’t me cutting your salary short."

he said smugly as he sat there eating, wiggling his eyebrows at me. "Ugh, you're no fun," I pouted my bottom lip at him, he glanced at me and chuckled. "That face won't work." he said with a smirk on his face. "When does it ever?" I asked sarcastically, causing him to roll his eyes at me. "Come on, eat up. We gotta get you to the university." he was still smirking at me. I shoved a bite in my mouth while playfully glaring at him, causing him to chuckle, so I just stuck my tongue out at him.

"You're getting more grumpy, Ms. Merryweather." I slit my eyes upon his remarks. "Oh, sorry. I inherited this from my boss." I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms. I pursed my lips into a thin line, making a duck face. "Please note that is sarcasm!" I suddenly exclaimed when I caught him in all smiles. He released a chuckle which made my heart went wild. There were times that his baritone laughing voice crooked and echoed in my ears which is very soothing and giving me gooseflesh.

Looking at him, I noticed that he was smirking and I lost it. “You are smirking?Does this look funny to you?Does giving sarcastic replies and riling me up please you that much, huh? Does it?. I was shaking with so much fury, I have never been this riled by a person’s character in my whole life. I felt my claws digging into my palms, itching to be unleashed. I was not really expecting him to give me a reply to my question but his answer was to be expected which did nothing but increase the temptation of leaving a scar on his arrogant face.

I felt stupid because of the way he was uninterested in looking at me. “Exactly. You are right.” His tone was sarcastic. “I was overcome by the moment.” I could hear the sarcasm laced in his voice, and it shattered my heart. And I imagined I saw smug masculine satisfaction in his heavy-lidded expression. I didn't think I imagined the faint smirk on his face as he looked through the glass.

"Hey, are you okay?" "Of course. I'm only vomiting my guts out dude!" The woman's wet lips curve upwards in a sarcastic smile. "Nothing to see here, really. Everything is God damn peachy." "Mhm," the corner of my lip rose a little in admiration. "Sarcasm and fiery… two qualities I must say I find rather intriguing in a woman," "Whatever, can you—" the girl waves me off weakly, before she can finish her sentence another round of vomit passes through her lips.

He could have just spat it in my face rather than give me that annoying stare. He smirked, and I leaned back in confusion. Actually, disbelief washed over me. Was there any sense of humor in my question? No, right? Even after my disapproval of his sweet yet annoying smirk, the smirk didn’t falter. He didn’t care to hide his sarcasm. Instead, he stood and closed the space between us. My body screamed at me to step back, to not allow him to get close to me, but I didn’t. I couldn’t. I wasn’t sure why.

If he wanted to play dirty I was going to show him that I could too. He rolled his bottom lip between his teeth sinking his teeth into it. A smug, cynical smirk spread across his mangled up face. I cocked my head up at him, "Your face looks better than it did before. You should thank my hero!" I sarcastically beamed mustering one helluva fake smile.
